I love coming here and reading about CSR! Made my ressie for Sept 2011, it will be our 2nd CSR stay for DH and me. Now that the kids are grown, THIS is my new favorite! Requested Casitas #4 again, we loved being close to the first bus stop and its a nice little walk from the main building. The grounds are gorgeous!

Keep all the info coming! Only 392 more days! :lmao:

OK...will be @ the CSR in 8 days... :woohoo:

anything anybody want me to take a pic. of or get info on??? :confused3

I think I'll settle the great does Pepper Market-DDP "TIP" question.

The DDP did cover the Pepper Markets impossed TIP when I was there in July 09...we shall see how it works Sept 2010.

..... should be fun! I had requested Casistas 4 thinking it would be nice to be close to a quiet pool, but I'm reading that the little pools are basically closed down at 9:00 p.m.! So, now I'm hoping that they don't fill my request - since it might be better to be closer to the big pool. I guess we'll see what happens.

Gotta re-read the first part of this thread to get the info about how to change the auto-setting for the AC, also.

Quick question - we have ADRs for Hoop-De-Doo on Sunday night. I'd read somewhere that we should ask the concierge at CSR to get our tickets for us? Does anyone have experience with this? Do they hold the tickets and we'll need to pick them up at the CSR concierge desk before we leave for the parks on Sunday? Thanks!

If you don't mind I have one thing I would like to know. How much is a 6 or 12 pack of bud light. I have seen pics of it in the store but prices cannot be seen. I would apprecitate it very much. thanks

I have not done the online check in yet or requst a room via fax. I guess I have not done it yet is because I am not sure where to stay!! I am so confused. There are 4 people in my party. 2 adults and 2 children (5 & 9). I want to be closer to the bus stop & prefer to be closer to one of the first pick up stops. Also being close to the Pool would be nice. (quiet pool is fine!) When should I send it in? Should I do online check in first?

For our last stay I sent a faxed request about 3 or 4 days out from our arrival. All sections have a bus stop close to them so anywhere you stay will be relatively close to a bus stop. We've stayed in Ranchos and Cabanas before and both times were close to the bus and to both the quiet pools and the Dig Site.

Also, I have reservations for breakfast at Cinderella's Castle at 9:15. What time do you suggeset I leave CSR by bus? How early will they let me into MK? Do you think we could get in before the park opens? I think it opens at 9:00.

Whenever we go to MK for rope drop at 9:00, we always try to catch a bus around 8. That way it leaves plenty of time to get to MK, get through security check, and to the gate. So if you leave by them you should be fine for your 9:15 ADR. I'm not sure if they will let you in early for an ADR after park opening. You'd have to ask a CM when you get there.

I only have dinner reservations for one night (out of the 5). How hard is getting into resturants without a reservation? My husband does not want to be held down to a strick schedule. (I made sure I have the Cinderalla & chef Mickey reservations).

Are you on the dining plan or the free dining promotion? Free dining is going on right now and getting into a table service restaurant without a reservation will be very challenging, if not impossible. I would suggest going to the online reservation system on Disney's site (here is the link) and try to find some availability if you have your heart set on eating at any table service locations.

Have a great trip.

Okay, I don't have time to respond to everyone now. But I thought this might help all of those with trips coming up.

This is from a review by someone named "Jack" on allears who does resort reviews. Hopefully, this will clarify the debate on the PM and the 10% gratuity:

"At the end of the meal, one person in your party can gather up all of the receipts and pay as you leave. No more cold food. A 10% gratuity is automatically added to your bill unless you’re on a Dining Plan. In this case, no tip is added so please remember your server."

One Beer Run for goldena003. :thumbsup2

Which building will they place me since I booked a water view?
Thanks

I believe every section has at least 1 building that will have a water view. Water view could be a pool or fountain or the lake so without requesting a particular section you could be in any of the 3 (Ranchos, Casitas, Cabanas).

Thank you, I did request Cabana 9A and Casitas 3.

I'm another in the camp that can't wait to get here even if there have been a couple bad reviews. You have to take the good with the bad and just being on vacation, at Disney, makes everything better! 2 weeks from now we will be getting ready to get on the road for a 15 hour overnight drive! I hope everyone heading there soon has a safe and magical trip!

I'm not going to let someone else's bad review ruin my vacation. A vacation is what you make of it. If you go down there with all these thoughts in your head, you're LOOKING to find things. People need to relax and enjoy themselves.

Not everyone gets to go on a wonderful vacation to Disney in their lifetime. ;)

O.K so now I have calmed down.....I guess you read good and bad about every resort. It just looks so nice in the photos that rubbish around the place etc doesn't fit into what I imagine the resort to be like. We were booked into pop at first then after reading some bad reviews decided to up grade to moderate. The CM on the phone told me CSR was by far the best moderate so thats why we booked here. I can't now say to my DH oh by the way I need a couple more thousand so we can stay deluxe! As we need two rooms for the six of us staying 14nights it gets expensive. Especially given our dollar is 85cents to yours. I think I need to stop reading and just start counting....yeah right as if I will stop reading!!!!

KYL, I've stayed at every level of the resorts from value to deluxe and CSR is by FAR my #1 choice. I'll be there next week for what I think is my 7th stay, kinda lost count.

The resort is gorgeous & classy & I have NEVER had amything other than wonderful CMs & spectacular stays in clean & NICE rooms.

Rest assured, you will love CSR.

Everyone going soon, have fun! I'll be there next week.

CSR is a beautiful resort and we have stayed there a couple of times and will be staying there again in the future.

We have stayed at the mods, deluxe, and DVC and CSR is our favorite too. A couple of those stays included club level and we still prefer CSR. I keep checking every day to see if rooms open for our time frame in November-no luck so far. The Dolphin is our 2nd favorite but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for CSR.

Would you mind taking a picture or two of the bus stops? Also, a picture or two of the resort from where you wait for your bus? Thank you and have fun!:yay: I get to go in 54 days!

Thanks guys you have made my day. I am not going to read any negative reviews any more. Everyone likes and dislikes different things. From what I have seen in photos and videos the resort does look beautiful. I guess I am just a little nervous because it has cost us so much money coming from Australia and we are also paying for my MIL as she can't afford to go herself and has never been out of Australia. I want it to be just magical for her and the children. Thanks for putting up with my panic after reading the bad reviews. xx
