Coronado or Riverside

I'd go for Coronado just for the view from the tower.

I have only stayed CSR and POFQ but CSR Tower hands down for me. Rooms feel like a Deluxe but at a mod+ price. Indoor hallways, indoor access to everything, much better sound proofing, quieter AC. Biggest hot tub on property. Good dining options. You can walk to the first bus stop in the section by the tower if you want to be first on the buses. The bathroom setup is different (the sinks are behind the bathroom door) so do compare those if it matters.

Unless you’re after access to Disney Springs or the sinks behind the bathroom door are a dealbreaker I don’t see any reason to stay POR over GDT Tower.

Coronado Tower would be my first choice. Then Riverside. Then Coronado non-tower.

The tower is beautiful. Like Riviera if Riviera had more color.

Stayed all the moderates.

CSR is the deluxe of the moderates, and add a Tower room it wins hands down.


POR we enjoy, was our first on site stay, we've stayed Alligator Bayou, Mansions and Royal Room oh maybe a dozen times. The Royal Rooms are well themed but mostly un-refurbished since they converted them about 13 years ago. My understanding they will start a refurb next month to last into next year which includes these rooms. So I probably would not book as the rooms are way overdue for work or there could be some work being done in the area.

I have stayed at both resorts.
I have not stayed in the tower though but that's the only place I would stay at Cornado.
I personally hated Coronado mostly due to how spread out it is, the food, and the transportation was terrible.
Overall theme and atmosphere was nice.

On the other hand I loved the Royal Rooms at POR, loved the food, transportation was efficient.

Overall I'd go with POR any day over Coronado even if in the tower.

We love Riverside for the boat transportation to DS.

Only because you have a tower room, else I would pick POR without a doubt and I have stayed at both a lot.

Thank you all for your opinions. Helps. We are only there 3 days to we won't be visiting DS ( maybe one dinner). It will be an all park, all day kinda vaca

Never stayed at Coronado, but have stayed POR numerous times and to this day one of our favorite resorts, preferably Alligator Bayou.

POR has great food and lovely boat ride. CSR tower rooms are more like deluxe.
