Just had wonderful news regarding my one blind eye. The technology has been in place for some time but the availability of corneas in short supply. I've lived with my vision impairment for almost 45 years. I suffered an injury, followed by infection then, scar tissue resulting in blindness.
Soon I'll have a consultation to determine my candidacy with a cornea specialist advised, and arranged by my glaucoma surgeon.
Has anyone here had any experience with corneal transplantation?
