This past trip we had ressies at Coral Reef. Very nice restaraunt, but way over priced if not on the dinning plan. For an appetizer we ordered the shrimp and steak. We got two scewers on with 2 shrimp and the other with 2 pieces of steak and it cost $11.99. After that I was pissed off. We then had 3 kids meals, the blackened catfish and the ribeye. Grand total over $100and we used our dinning experience card. would avoid this restaraunt at all costs. Very small portions also. I was extremely disappointed with what we recieved for the money we paid.

The ribeye was good, and the blackened catfish was ok. It seemed very slimy and fishy combared to the catfish at garden grill. They served the Catfish on a bed of what looked liked and had the texture of grits. It was extremelly spicy also. Over all I would prefer the garden grill cat fish over the coral reef. The garden grill catfish is deep fried.

I've had the catfish at Garden Grill before, I like it too.

I have an ADR for lunch for February and we are paying OOP. I'm a little concerned about how expensive it will be. I've looked at the menu and there aren't many choices for less $$, but I really want to experience the ambience and the aquarium! I think I'm going to have a bowl of the bisque and help my daughters finish their kids meals!

in early Sept. The Grilled Mahi Mahi was to die for and a huge portion!!! My DD's Strip Steak was also way too big to finish and she loved the Corn Chowder. Except for the waiter, who tried to rush us until I specifically asked him to stop, we had a terrific meal here. I had intended to take Coral Reef off the list of restaurants to which we'd return but this meal changed my mind!!!

We love the Coral Reef and have never had an issue with thew price to the portion sizes. We always leave full and it has never been more than we would pay to eat a nice meal at home.

I have read many reviews of Coral Reef and they are split right down the middle and extreme. Everyone either really loves it or really hates it. We have thought about booking it on a trip several times but fear being one of the ones who really hate it.:confused3

I was glad I really didnt listen to reviews about Coral Reef and went with my gut and kept my ADR's there. It was the best meal of our whole trip!! I am not sure how anyone can give this restaurant a bad review!! It was fantastic!

I have been to the Coral twice now, once with an SO and a few years later with DW and DS, both times on dining plan (although called "magical wishes" the first time). We're going again this month, and have dinner reservations again on the 18th as the second time we had one of the better meals I have had on the dp. First time, I didn't really care for it, but it may have been my experimenting with the menu choice. If I'm going for seafood, I would rather go to Fultons, which we're hitting in the 16th - CRAB CLAWS!!! Thank you Disney Dream Dollars.

The ambience is very cool, and since DW and DS are doing the Aqua Tour earlier, it will be fun to see the tank from the perspective again. There's a lot of good dining in Epcot, and its in the top tier of restaurants.

We leave for WDW in 12 days & we're keeping our ADR at the Coral Reef. I'm really hopeful that we love it as much as we did the last time we ate there. DS loves the atmosphere & DD will get her first experience on this trip. Here's hoping it all goes well:)
