Coral Reef-just dessert?

Has anyone gone to Coral Reef for just dessert and coffee (diet coke for me) or appetizers and dessert. I would like to try it but to be honest the seafood entrees don't get me excited. But now the desserts, that's another thing completely. And they have calamari (lunch only) for appetizer. I would consider eating if getting the above only (and maybe a kid's meal for DD6) wasn't a big problem.

Anyone had experience with this? TIA

We have. We didn't have ADRs, we stopped in and asked if we wanted to have just dessert would that work and when would be a good time to return. I don't recall now the exact time, but it was dinner time. We returned, were seated right away (there were other people waiting) and were seated next to the tank. Great way to experience. This was pre Dining Plan.

I had an ADR for Coral Reef at 2:00 just for dessert. We ended up cancelling it before we left, because we made other plans. We have done this in the past and it's never been a problem. We also had an ADR at Sci-Fi just for dessert and it wasn't a problem. We ordered ice cream for my DGD and my DD and I had an appetizer and alcoholic milkshakes. We were never rushed and we left at least a 20% tip. Usually when we have just a dessert, or appetizer, we're having some kind of alcoholic drink, so maybe that's why they don't rush us. The drinks are expensive and our bill keeps going up!!! I have also had just drinks and appetizers in Mexico in Epcot, and in 2004, we had dessert in Cinderellas castle. Have a great time!!

Thanks for starting this thread. I've been wanting to experience the atmosphere at Coral Reef, but didn't care for the menu choices. Nice to
know we can order desserts. People do this often at Sci-Fi, but I never
though to do it at Coral Reef, so thanks again!
