Coral Reef--Fantastic!

I cancelled my ressie at le cellier due to all of the changes and have booked coral reef. I am looking forward to it!

We ate there tonight for dinner and were pleased. DHS had short ribs and I had the orecchiette with lobster/cheese.
Of all my TS meals in this trip, CR is the only one I would go back to. We also had CRT for dinner, SciFi for dinner, Akershus for breakfast.

This settles it...CR is on my short liat for a future trip! Now that LC is out since its become a 2 credit...CR sounds like it will fill the gap beautifully.

My family of 4 enjoyed a lovely meal here in 2010. It wasn't the best food we've ever tasted, but FAR from the worst. The atmosphere and service were fabulous! I would not hesitate to recommend Coral Reef to my friends. Glad you enjoyed it!

As with others we have been here several times. Never a bad experience. It's one of my favorite TS restaurants. Probably one of the best in park options.

Do you have to call ahead to make sure you get a table by the aquarium. I changed my reservation from Teppen Edo to coral reef and I want to make sure my DD's get to see the fish :)

You can request one at check-in but quite honestly most of the tables have a good view of the fishes. I would just say that you would like to have a good view and leave it at that. Tables right next to the aquarium sometimes attract uninvited Ed guests as kids tend to walk up to get a close up view. I actually prefer the tables in the second tier.

DH and I loved it the last time we were there in May '12. It was delish!! I had the pasta w/lobster and DH had the steak. Both were fantastic. And the Bailey's & Jack Daniel's Mousse is CRAZY good!

x2 on the Mouse! ;)

Coral Reef for the past 2-3 years has gotten a bad rap, and I was so nervous too about trying it when we went 2 years ago due to all the bad reviews. But honestly, it was a wonderful meal, everyone at my party loved it (there was 11 of us!). Food was great, I ordered the steak, which was fabulous, my husband got the salmon and he loved it. Chef came out and went over menu with us for my daughter who has food allergies. We originally had reservations for a party of 8 (not sure if my parents and sister would make it, as they were arriving that day) but my parents made it for dinner and they accomodated the extra 3 with no problem, we just had to wait an extra 5 minutes which was perfect bc we all got to eat together. And the raspberry wave...OMG!!! I hope they still have that, best dessert ever!

We just made a reservation for Coral Reef for our trip in May (we just officially decided we can go in May so I'm super excited). I can't wait to try this restaurant! I'm glad to hear some good feedback. My DP isn't too excited, because she thinks it's weird to eat seafood with other seafood swimming around you. I tried to point out there are sea turtles and sharks in the tank, not just the type of fish that might be on the menu, but that didn't seem to console her. :lmao: So my plan is that she can just face away from the acquariums. This might be a first since it sounds like everyone else really wants a table with a view. :snooty:

Glad to hear it was so good! That's one of our family favorites and it seems to get alot of flack. We love the atmosphere and I can honestly say, we've never had a bad experience. I'm looking forward to going again in June! We absolutely LOVE it !! pixiedust:

For anyone that hasn't been before that is going...when you check in, ask if you can wait for a table right next to the aquarium. it's SOOOOO worth it !! We ate with a HUGE sea turtle parked right next to my daughter the whole dinner. She was convinced that Crush came to eat with us!! :thumbsup2 It was wonderful !!
