Coral Cafe - stop in for coffee or charged buffet price???

Hello! Anyone been to Coral Cafe/Dolphin? Here's the scoop, we are staying at Swan and arrive Sat. (late). Understand that on Sunday there is character buffet in Coral Cafe (goofy, pluto, chip & dale)..

Wondering if diners can just have coffee, hang with the characters - or are you charged the full buffet price (13.50 adults, 8.50 = 50.00) at Coral Cafe?

I ask because I made ressies for Magic Kingdom at 10:10 at Tony's with characters (Pooh, Eyore, Piglet & Tigger), and that is like 50.00.

Would love the interraction of all these characters, and would love to have coffee, juice at Dolphin before we head out to park then have breakfast. Is this possible?

Anyone??

(I wouldn't go to this trouble, but we're staying at the Swan so this is do-able). Don't want to spend 100.00 for breakfast in one day.

Some of the buffets allow someone at a table who it not eating to pay a $5 "Entertainment Charge," but I seriously doubt that will fly for a whole table full of people. And, you may not want to pay $5 for a cup of coffee anyway. Personally, I would not spend that much of my time sitting around looking at characters anyway. I'd either use that morning to sleep in a little if I had a late night, or, more likely, I's make sure I was at MK at opening and squeeze in a few rides before that breakfast PS.
