Coordinating FP+ between two reservations

Has anyone used the Friends & Family management function of MDE to coordinate FP+ selections between two different reservations?

My husband and I planned a trip to WDW for this June. My sister-in-law and nephew have never been, so my husband's parents decided this would be a great time to go and bring them, as well. They're relying on me to do much of the planning, but I haven't been since FP+ was instituted, so I'm a little in the dark myself.

According to CMs, once I get my MIL to set up a MDE account and accept my invitation to let me manage her activities & plans (how weird does that sound? LOL), I should be able to make FP+ selections for the whole group rather painlessly. But is there anything I need to watch out for?

I'm totally nervous having to make this many advanced plans for eight people.

We never got the invitation/acceptance in regards to Family and Friends to work, so we called Disney and they linked the accounts.

I've been on 4 trips with Fastpass + (August, August, November, December). I think I've finally figured it out! On my last trip I was travelling with my sister, her 3 girls, our niece, and my son. We figured out that although my sister and I can manage each other's plans she can't see my son and I can't see her daughters. We can make fastpass + reservations for the adults not none of the kids. We ended up making the fastpass + reservation for one account, for example I would make it for me, my son, and my sister, and then copy it to the other account. Let me know if this makes sense!

Thanks, GrandpaK! I had to call Disney to get them to link together the MBs within my own reservation (???), so this doesn't surprise me. LOL

I think so, Tink! Thanks! :goodvibes

When I went with my son's family along with the other mother in law - we stayed in 2 rooms. The mothers in one room and my son's family in the other - when it came time to make fast passes - We were able to log on to my account and I could manage his fast passes but it did not get the other mother (which was under my reservation # since I booked the room) - we had to set her up with a MDE account and I had to invite her.

By the time we figured this out the fastpasses + were a little off times because of her not being able to link them at the beginning like the rest of did.
