I know this has been discussed before ,but are we allowed to bring a soft sided cooler into TL ? We will put plastic water bottles, and can cokes along with sandwiches to eat for lunch ? If not could we get handstamps to go eat in the car then return to the water park ? Thanks again,

Carrielee

My understanding is yes, you are allowed to bring coolers into the waterparks. We did it last June, and I don't think anything has changed since then. I saw another thread indicating that they inspect to make sure you don't bring in alcohol or glass containers, but everything else is fine.

Bump....

Anyone have recent experience with this? I would like to know the answer myself.

From the WDW site:
Q. May I bring my own food and beverages in to the Water Parks?
A. Coolers of a size that may be safely carried are permitted. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages allowed. There are no storage areas for coolers.
We were there 3 weeks ago and several people brought large coolers in with them.

We've always carried coolers* in and were there in early April. They will take a look in your cooler once you are through the turnstile though to check for glass and alcohol.

* The one-handled variety, that one person carries.

We took a cooler with our lunch for four to BB. You would be amazed how good a PB&J, tasted after 5 days of going out to eat.

We were just there 3 weeks ago and purchased a soft sided cooler at ice station cool. We then brought it into the parks the next 3 days. You should be just fine.

I sure hope you can take a cooler in. We went to TL in May 2002 and bought food at the park and we all thought it was overpriced and disgusting!! It seemed to be more expensive than the major park fast food places. I would definately take my own food in next time.
