My friend's son made a YouTube video of a meal prepared in a hotel room. Thought this could be the answer to all the posts about needing a microwave and end the debate about extra appliances in the room at the values. A complete steak dinner!

All I can say is YUCK!
I don't even use the coffee maker to make hot water for tea because of the residual coffee flavor. i can't imagine coffee flavored rice.
Way too much work, cooking a steak on top of an iron too. It is easier and cheaper to go to Logan's or a similar place, maybe Pondorosa. but the cheapest thing and fill up on the all you can eat salad and stuff bar.
Personally when I am on vacation I don't cook unless I am staying in my DVC, then I might make eggs or oatmeal for bfst, but there are so many cheap places to eat off property that it is not worth my vacation time to cook. I can do that at home.

Hee hee hee...that is funny and a bit clever in a desperate kind of way. Perhaps irons will soon be pulled out of the values...and then someone a bit more clever and desperate will figure out how to make a meal with a blow dryer!!

I give them credit for being clever. I would not want to eat the rice but still clever.

I am sure those are DISer's...I know I have read their posts!:rotfl2:

OK- someone with my sense of humor! :goodvibes I saw this and thought immediately of the budget board.

I am slightly disappointed that nobody has complained about how the garlic will disturb the other guests. :lmao: Really thought I saw that one coming.

That looked better then the steak dinner I made on a stove :) for dinner. What temperature seeting did he use on the iron...lol
