I just had a baby on Feb. 1 and would like to work some hours from home. I am definitely able to do most of my work at home.
What are some things I can say to try to convince my boss of this? Pros of me working at home.
Suggestions?

Not sure what kind/size of firm you work at but check the company HR website. My company just came out with a whole policy on it. There are steps you have to follow/forms to be filled out but they give advice on how to approach your manager. So the first step should be HR to see if there is something in place.
Good Luck! :thumbsup2

You might first approach with the idea of working from home on a trial basis and/or on certain days of the week.

I was planning on requesting a few hours a week at home...the rest at work. I also would like to go from 40 hours/week to 30. Which is certainly attainable.
One idea I had was that I certainly would not miss work for a sick child. I would do the work when my DH got home and while she is sleeping if sick.
Also going to 30 hours/week will save my employer a substantial amount of money.
Any other ideas?
