Converting video to pictures?

My in-laws used our camera on their trip to Brazil and accidentally had it on film mode for half of their pictures. Is there anyway of getting pictures out of these? Please help, they are so bummed!!

You may want to look at Pinnacle software. I think will do a reasonable capture. You also should Google it and see what comes up.
