Has any-one hired a convertible?

And if so how much space is there in the boot or back seats for luggage? :confused3

we did in 2004 and there is not alot of space, we had one case in the boot and the rest in the back seat,

I wouldnt hire one again really, I didnt think it was worth the money as we hardly used it

We've hired a couple. A Sebring and a Mustang. Like said above there is not much space in the trunk.

We had to use the back seats as well as the trunk too. Good job there was only 2 of us.

I would hire one again it's great fun, but really hot with the top down and you need plenty of sunscreen on :)

My boyfriend was thinking of taking his own golf clubs, so i was thinking that maybe we could have a big squishable bag (one of those big travel ones) instead of a suitcase and we could pop the golf clubs in the back???

Do you think that golf clubs would fit in the back?

I also wouldn't hire one again, not much space at all, and, in the back seats, you either get your head blown off whilst driving, or you melt whilst your stuck at traffic lights!

Id say you will get the golf clubs across the back seat we hired one a few times for a few days at a time always found it nice and refreshing with the top down space is not great in them but me managed to get our 2 smaller cases in the boot and two bigger cases in the back seat that was a mustang so can't comment on other types :)

We hired a convertible for our holiday and we loved every minute of it. We are having one next time.
We did not hire it from day one we picked it up from lake beuna vista on the second day and returned it a day before we went home, we had transfers from the airport and back.

Convertibles are great fun!
:cutie:

We own a convertible and live in the South. I won't give you advice on room because that varies from car to car but I would recommend a nice floppy hat with a drawstring so the brim will lay back against the headrest and the drawstring can be tied under you chin to keep it from blowing off. Otherwise you will be suffering by the end of the day.

I can't wai to get one now. I know some of you guys have said that it can be uncomfortable when driving, but i just can't wait to try it for myself.

And thanks for the tips on plenty of sun screen and a hat with drawstring. They are now on my holiday essentials from day 1 list :thumbsup2

We rented a Chrysler Sebring Convertible a few years ago from Alamo at MCO.
I had decided against one because of the price, and reserved an intermediate size car, but we were offered an upgrade for quite a bit less when we got to Orlando. This seems to be normal practice at most car hire companies so it might be worth waiting to see whats on offer when you get there, unless you've got you heart set on a convertible.
For us (2 adults and 2 children), the novelty soon wore off, and we find a nice roomy car with good air conditioning works better for us.

We hired one, mind you cant have a conversation with anybody in the back, we have a convertable at home now and that novelty has worn off as well.:confused3
