Thanks to info received here, I learned of convention park hoppers. Since I was only looking for 3 day tickets for this trip, the info was perfect.

Ordered them from Disney's website.

Said we were going to the Central Florida International Car Show & staying at "Other". Filled in my trip dates. Ordered 4 adult 3 day hoppers.

They arrived in mail yesterday --- earlier than they said they would. THANKS. I've always loved the DIS.
:D

Splshmtn99,
How long did it take for them to come? I'm doing this for a 2 day trip end of October. I'm thinking about picking my tickets up at the "will call" booth just incase our trip gets cancelled for whatever reason.

Do they have dates on them? I want to order 2 for my convention and 2 for the following month when I return for fun. I know they have to be used in ten days.
Thanks in advance for the information.

Do you have to show proof of going to the convention you named when ordering the tickets?

They would be perfect for a 3-day trip, but I don't want to get into trouble.

Some info on expirations etc..

This Ticket will be valid for ten (10) days from the date of first use at any theme park or attraction. Date of first use must be on or before December 30, 2004.

OK, let's see if I can answer everyones questions.

Kathyclownfish:
I ordered the evening of 9/29/04....they arrived in MA on 10/8/04. They had said they would be here by 10/13/04. I believe my credit card was also charged 9/29/04.

Disneychick2:
No dates on them. Lots of writing though.
3 Day Park Hpr w/ 1 PI or DQ (ages 10+)
Your 3 day park hopper pass entitles you to 3 days of admission to the following parks with the freedom to visit multiple parks on the same day: MK, Epcot, MGM, AK.

First use must be by 12/30/04. Ticket expires 10 days from first usage.

Plus 1 visit to either of the following: Pleasure Island or Disney Quest.
And alot of fine print about being non-transferrable...and getting hand stamps for re-entry.....

Clay&Matt'sMom:
No proof of convention was asked on the link I gave in original post above. I had googled the web for "orlando conventions" and found this site: http://www.orlandoconvention.com/
Found that there was a PUBLIC convention going on Nov-Dec...and used that name. We are staying offsite at Summer Bay Resort...so I said "Other" under resort.

Hope that helps everyone. We are taking my 72 yr old parents again and that aren't into Disney as much as we are. :( Dad said 3 days would be enough for him. And honestly - he's CHEAP. I couldn't get him to spend any more than that for his & mom's tickets. LOL

DH & I have been ALOT.....so I can live with just being there 3 days this time. We'll be in FL for 10 days anyway -- visiting relatives too & doing other things.

We are going Dec 23rd thru Jan. 1st, and are only going to spend 3 days in the parks. This would be great for us! Does anyone think we would be questioned at that time of year, since there obviously won't be any conventions going on them? Thanks for the info. :)

No, i don't think you will have any problems. I ordered and received them for my early Jan. trip. These are the exact same tickets that "Orlando ticket and travel" is selling for more money.
Nobody will stop to ask for proof of a convention because they don't have any idea where the tickets were purchased. Since I stated my trip will be in Jan., my tickets say first use by Dec. 30 "2005" instead of '04 All the other info is the same.

edited to say i followed the link.....( it's too early i am not awake)
sory

can i please ask what price
you paid for each ticket?
we have the exact same tickets.....but we are not going to a convention but was wondring what you paid.

thanks

Tina

If you do "will-call", be warned that they DO ASK what convention you are there for and MAY ask for proof.

If Disney isn't going to be over-obsessive like they are when it comes to rules on other things, then people might as well take advantage of this offer while it lasts.

Although I do see your point, I didn't feel I was taking advantage of Disney.

I know the reason they don't sell 3 day tickets normally is a marketing ploy. They want to get the average tourist to stay on their property as long as possible during their time in Orlando. They don't want you spending your vacation dollars at the competition. So..... they hook you in with 4, 5, 6, 7 day passes.

We usually do 8 - 10 day trips.....and never leave Disney property. They get my accomodations, tickets, & food money. And LOTS OF IT annually since 1999!!!!

But this time....we are only doing 3 days....because that's all my 72 yr old parents are interested in. And that's even stretching it.

And we've got some life changes coming up where I'm not too sure we will be heading back real soon....and opted not to tie up any money in unused non-expiration days left on tickets.

So, I'm not taking advantage. Disney still accomplised what they wanted. They got all my "Orlando" time spent at Disney. Other days will be spent in Florida....but far from Disney this time.
