Convention Hotel to MK

I have a convention coming up at the end of October. One of the nights I'm thinking of going to MNSSHP. The convention is at Rosen Shingle Creek. What is the best way to get from the hotel to MK? How long will it take? Will I have any trouble getting back to the hotel after MNSSHP?

I stayed at the Rosen Center this summer. They had towncars and SUVs waiting in front of the hotel to take you places. It was convenient, but more expensive than a cab. You could call Mears to send a cab if you didn't want to get in one of those cars. I haven't stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek, so I don't know if they have those cars out front or not. But you definitely can call a cab if they don't have cabs waiting out front.

I haven't been to MNSSHP so I don't know how much of a mob scene it is leaving the park at night. To get back to the Rosen Center on a non-party day, I took the ferry boat from the Magic Kingdom to the Transportation & Ticket Center. There were cabs waiting there.

(Actually, my original plan had been to take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary, check out the cupcake situation, and then get a cab from the Contemporary. But we got stuck on the monorail due to a power outage at the Contemporary, and then the monorail backed up to the Magic Kingdom.)
