Click the link that says "Gain Access Here"

You'll put in your user name and email. Within about 12 hours, simply go back to the board (there is no notification) and you'll see threads. NOTE: The "New DISboards Threads" at the bottom of the page is NOT the list of "Controversial Threads"

1) I want to tag you in a thread on the new board. I'm wondering if you get a notification and, if so, can you go to read the thread. I'm guessing "yes" and "no".
2) I'm curious about what you see here (main Disboard):

I have not signed up yet because somehow I have managed to miss this thread until today! You are welcome to tag me and see what happens. Here is what I see currently:

when I opted in I mistakenly forgot the space in my username. When I try to opt in with the proper name, I am told it won't accept multiple attempts. I originally tried 2 days ago with the wrong username and can't access. How do I fix my stupid mistake?

Thanks Tink! In your first snip, what's on the far right? Where the list of most recent threads are? Of course, this thread will probably be there now.

ETA: Talking about where, in your second snip, it says "Private"

Yes I only see the normal Community Board threads, like this one in that section in the first snip.

In the second snip, where it says private, thats all I see, I dont see the name of the most recent thread

Well, sorry, now I may have messed up the experiment. I went in to sign up for the thread because I saw it takes some time to approve, but when I got your notification that you replied again, I also got a notification about the thread. Might that be because I had just signed up for the thread? I can't imagine it moves that quickly. But the notification about the thread was 9 minutes after you told me you had tagged me, so there's either a lag compared to message replies or I got it because I signed up for the thread.

I do not see the Controversial Topics yet, so I'm going to guess there was just a lag, but people not signed up do still get the tag.

Oh, for those even semi-interested, the CT board is currently listed as having 1.5k posts. A couple of threads were moved over from the community board, but that probably only accounts for maybe 600 posts. So you're still looking at nearly a thousand posts in less than three days. How many posts does the CB usually get in the same time frame?

You'll know you've been approved to get in as the Controversial Topics board title switches from a faint font to a Bolded font like all the other categories above it.

It would be funny if WMCorey doesn't approve you and the whole title disappears on you.
