Contracts drying up??

I use DVCforLess.com daily, & I usually have about 4 or 5 saved searches, & they have all dried up, not one contract left when I search any of my normal searches (w/certain parameters).

Crazy, i guess addonitis can go away for a few months.

Yeah I noticed hardly any contracts under 100pts - the ones that exist are only a handful of resorts. Normally it’s hard to find in your UY, now it’s just plain ol’ hard to find any! Will probably ramp back up going into winter.

I had the same feeling... my search is pretty broad (just UY), and inventory seems to have gone down. Aren't things usually a little seasonal, though? Save up for that pre-dues-are-due contract dump!

Very possible, we started researching late May and bought our first contract mid June.

A year ago inventory was at 1500 https://dvcnews.com/dvc-program-men...00-for-all-walt-disney-world-resorts-combined since that time listings increased & I’ve yet to see a significant reduction in the number of listings, the high was around 2600 listings, it’s now 2400+ so maybe we‘re past the peak .
The question in my mind is whether the increased inventory is a result of increased supply - more sellers, or decreased demand - fewer buyers. The fact that Direct sales are at historic lows https://dvcnews.com/dvc-program-men.../5537-dvc-direct-sales-slump-in-february-2023 hints that lower demand may be the driver in the resale market as well. Of course the lack of ROFR means that one significant buyer - DVC - is absent from the market.

^That’s from Mar 18, 2023 - over 2400 contracts on sale at that point. It went down and then back up last Nov 2023.

When we started looking back in April there was over 2000 contracts, today is in the 1100’s. But there is still a new one I want … I know I was warned about addonitis but I didn’t know it would be this bad.

Same here. It’s really hard resisting the add-ons! Even though we’re waiting to see the details of Poly Tower before making another move, I’ve tortured myself with temptation by watching new listings daily. The only thing that’s saved me was the contracts I liked were gone within hours

Yep, for sure.. when there were contracts showing in my favs or saved searches, it was so tempting, but when they disappear the next day it’s almost a relief. lol

Same here, I paid too much, but with VGC and a small contract in my UY I felt I had to go for it.

Out of curiosity what are some of your “saves” ?
My main one I call “Wishlist” and it consists of AKV, BWV, BCV, BLT, & CCV, with June, Aug, Sept, & Oct and max of 95pts under $155. And it literally dried up today. Although something just popped up tonight. lol

The rest are basically one for “BWV” in my new UY of Sept/Oct, under 95pts.

Another is “SAP+” and just has BLT & CCV in Sept under 95pts and $155

And another for “VGC“ in all UY and under 95pts, just to see what’s out there. lol

Ha, I used to have a save for sub Aulani, but anything that would pop up was always 200 or more, so I gave up on it.
I could see adding it back after a few years of WDW trips under my belt.
