Contract Expiration and Use Year?

So… we’ve closed on our first resale contract and are waiting to have the account setup by Disney…
I never thought about this though.
We bought at SSR, which expires is 2054. We have a December use year.

Do all SSR contracts expire at the exact same time, or do they phase out based on use years. Does that question even make sense?

All 2042 resorts end on January 31, 2042, regardless of use year. The big debate is what will DVC allow re: borrowing the points that are due to the owners during that last year (2041). You're obviously wondering how you can use points you won't get until December 1, 2041 at a resort that expires 62 days later... Hence, the debate.

So… I’ll find out for sure in 18 years, but until then, I’ve got nothing.
I could book a trip for 01/20-27 of 2054 in theory? And I could book it 11 months out at SSR as a fair well tour.

I think everyone is going to see when the 2042 resorts expire, as those will go first, and then you'll have 12 years to lament your fate.

I'm in your same exact boat. Well, and a worse one. LOL I have a December use year, we own at BCV (2042) and just closed on an SSR (2054). I assume we'll have to be told something when it gets close, but I doubt we'll know for about 16 years. I definitely should have more carefully considered use year when we first bought. But I decided to stick with it because I don't want to deal with 2 memberships.
