Continental Airlines

Does anyone know if first class flights on Continental are refundable and if it can be done online? I can't get through to Continental on phone and I can't find a way to cancel online. I booked flights to get back to NJ on first class, because that was the only thing I could find because of hurricane, but now found another flight on Southwest a day later, and want to see about cancelling, but can't get through on phone at all. Our original flight on 8/28 was cancelled because of hurricane and we need to go back to work.

Did you book within the last 24 hours? If so, you are eligible for a refund regardless of fare class.

If not, it will depend on the exact fare purchased. Did you get a confirmation email? Does it mention refunds?

I just found the answer to my question. In manage flights, I had to click on more, and then found option to cancel for full refund. I didn't see option on main page.

On almost every airline without exception first class tickets are always fully refundable. Not only do you get a good seat, but if your plans change last minute you can rebook cancel without any extra fees. Plus, you will not have to pay any baggage fees to. All rolled into the higher price paid for the luxury of line first class.

Personally, I would hardly call flying first class domestically luxurious.

There is absolutely First/Biz fares that are non refundable. In the United/Continental world these are typically called Z fares and many times over holidays you can get awesome Z fares to Europe. Airlines are also realizing that they can sell a fully refundable F/Biz ticket, but it can also be quite profitable to sell restriced F/Biz as well.
