Contemporary Resort Room Question

Currently, we have a Tower Theme Park View room booked at the CR for one night (8/9). We're moving to the Poly on 8/10 (we had to push the Poly back a day to get the bounceback). We've requested a high floor at the CR. But are thinking of upgrading to CL if available to make sure we get a high floor. What floors are CL rooms on at the CR? Can anyone tell me more about CL at CR?

12 and 14. There is no 13th floor.

We were on the 7th floor last week and it was awesome! We were in the Tower facing the MK! I think any floor in the Tower facing the MK is great!

We stayed on the 14th fl a couple of years ago. The view is spectular!!! Worth every penny!

I think any floor would be great! I requested a high floor 2 weeks ago, and was dissapointed when they told me i was on the 6th floor. But when i got to my room, it was a wonderful view! When i looked down off the balcony, i said this is high enough for me!

Remember Club level in the CR will not guarantee MK view. It is only a request. Stick with the MK view if that's what you want. The 12th floor lounge does have a balcony out to the MK side so you can watch wishes from there.

Thanks for all the info! I called CRO today and the CM told me that CL doesn't mean I'll definitely get a MK view! Plus, the 14th floor isn't available during my stay. I'm going to stick with the room I have. Maybe at check-in I'll ask if they have CL rooms with MK views. But right now, I don't want to gamble and risk facing Bay Lake. While I'm sure Bay Lake is beautiful too, I really want to see the MK.

I see what you mean. I stayed at both the Bay Lake view and the MK view all in one week. They are both AMAZING views, but the fireworks can't be beat.

We're really looking forward to the fireworks! We're bringing my 4 year old nephew and he LOVES fireworks. But I do think he's a little too young to hang out at the parks so late. I'd rather he watch the fireworks in his pjs on the balcony!

We have stayed on the 10th and 7th floors (MK view). And both were great!

The only Club Level rooms that guarantee a Magic Kingdom view are any of the Suites on the 14th floor, which say the words Magic Kingdom view in the room description.

Personally I have found that no matter the floor you stay on with the Magic Kingdom view it does not make a difference. The lowest floor you could be is the 6th floor (the 5th floor only has the Bay Lake view because of the Monorail station) and the highest none Club Level floor you can get is the 11th floor.

We were upgraded to the 12th floor last year and it was great. But as someone already posted, you may not get the MK view. If we hadn't been given an MK view, I would have declined the "upgrade".

Last year we stayed on the 9th floor with MK view. The view was spectacular. I think you will have a spectacular view of MK regardless of what floor you are on.

Thanks for all of the helpful info! We're staying at the CR one night to try it out before our move to the Poly. We really loved the Poly during our stay last month, but the idea of being able to walk to the MK is sooooo tempting. And the photos I've seen of the rooms are just beautiful!!! I have a feeling future trips may be to the CR!!!

As far as upgrading to Atrium Club Level, I may hold off and wait until check-in. I don't want to give up a definite MK view for a possible MK view.
