Which Deluxe Resort should I stay at?

I was leaning towards CR since it's so close to MK and is a quick Monorail ride to Ohana ;) but wanted to consider other options like the Beach Resort or the Yacht Club since those are the same price range.

Any Pros and Cons when it comes to staying at those 3 resorts?

In other words....which is the best...for you?

When is your trip? Which parks are your favorite? Which restaurants are you eating at (other than 'Ohana)? Is the pool important?

For us, it's CR (or BLT as I usually rent DVC points) as the proximity to MK can't be beat and the resort is on the monorail line. CR's standard rooms are also the largest on property of that type.

BC and YC are fantastic resorts too and I'd recommend either (I personally prefer YC) if you are more interested in Epcot and HS as both are within walking distance.

For our trip this December I chose Bay Lake Towers(the room type I wanted at the Contemporary wasn't available)..Magic Kingdom is our favorite park and although Epcot is our second favorite park and I love how Beach Club looks we wanted our first deluxe resort experience to be one that is closest to Magic Kingdom!

The planned trip is in late July 2014 ( that's not too far to plan a trip right? ). In terms of favorites.....I'd think MK....but realistically...all of them except for AK. As for the pool....yes, it's very important. On our last trip.....we practically went to the pool every evening until 12am ( which is AWESOME ) ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. What you said makes sense. We are in the same boat after a disappointing last stay at CBR ( DW really hated that there were bugs everywhere and that CBR seemed somewhat dirty ).

Does the Contemporary Resort have some type of a beach area that is on the Lake? I was also hoping for a nice jogging and bike trail as well ( since I like to take a jog and may want to take the kids biking )?

I called up DisneyWorld Reservations and got some pricing....the pricing is roughly $180 more at CR compared to BC/YC. From what the DisneyWorld Reservation person said....CR is usually the earliest Deluxe Resort to book up. I think that I am leaning towards CR for the various reasons that all of you mention....but I will talk to DW to see what the Boss thinks.

Have you considered the WL if these are things you like? Lots of trails to Fort Wilderness and outdoor activities. Even pony rides, etc. the WL also has the boat to MK or Contemporary for the monorail if you don't want the bus. I love that boat ride, heavenly!
