This is our first time staying at the CR. How far is walk to MK?
Any certain room requests we should try for? Thanks!

Not sure how much further is time wise with the garden suites, but when my family and I stayed at the BLT, it was a 5-10min walk to MK. If MK is your point of interest, CR can't be beat. You could also get on a boat at the dock, which is near the garden suites. Love the boat rides, something special about them. Hope this helps,
Scott

Request a first floor room overlooking Bay Lake. It's the longest walk to the main building, but the compensations are many: absolute quiet, a patio that opens out to grass, and a fantastic view. In the mornings we love sipping coffee and watching the Ft Wilderness/W-Lodge boat launches cut through the fog. At night we'd sip drinks and hear the loons. It was gorgeous.

We stayed in a wing room 2 years ago and absolutely loved it! We requested a ground floor room so we had a patio. It was great because we were able to use the patio door to go to and from the pool :)
We could also sit on the patio and watch the EWP

The walk to MK took approx 10 minutes and it was easy. It was also an easy walk to tower for mug refills and monorail access.

Just wondering if I could add a question to this thread, please? We are booked for a garden wing room in May, and I have requested a ground floor/patio room. What side should I ask for in order to see the Electrical Water Parade? TIA! :)

If you are planning to use your refillable mug, you might want to request being near the main building. A few years ago we stayed in the wing and I didn't know what to request, so I just let them put us wherever. We were at the very furthest point of the building on the third floor. It wasn't a "long" walk compared to how far we walked during our trip, but it was too far to run up to the Contempo Cafe just to refill our mug.

Our last visit in 2011, we stayed Contemporary Garden Wing, cannot remember our room number. Our room was first floor opened to a patio right on the water, it might have been the farthest room? It was close to the parking lot which was awesome because we drove so it made it real convenient :thumbsup2 I love the Contemporary, the walk to main building and Magic Kingdom is not bad at all, loved it there :) Boats go by, the Electric Parade, people would wave to us ;)
