Contemporary Garden View worth an extra $100?

We're booked at the POR for $200 for one night on the 30th. We could move to the Contemporary for $100 more. We're mainly going to be in the park that day (MK) from 2pm-1am. We have the partial day conference tickets. Our hotel for the $200 is going to be reimbursed to us by a grant paying for our hotel during the conference. So we'd be out the $100 extra. Not sure that we'll get another chance like this. I also think we could use that $100 towards other things. We could also do the POLY for a little over a $100 more which is another option. Since we're not going to be in the hotel much I just don't know if I can justify it. We could move it to the night before (the 29th) and we'd be in the hotel more and checking out downtown disney. And keep the POR for the 30th but my hubby likes the idea of just hoping on the monorail and going to MK on the 30th. What do you think?
Thanks!
Amanda

Well, I am all about being at the CR, but I will admit I am very confused after reading your post. I had trouble following your plan. What I will say is being able to walk to MK on the day you are going there is a great benefit. Good luck!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be confusing. LOL But I am confused or maybe overthinking would be a better word. The thing is, I don't know when we could ever stay at a deluxe again in the future. It's just most likely out of our budget. This is our opportunity to basically stay at a deluxe for $100-130 depending on what we choose (Poly or CR-garden) out of our own pocket because we're already getting reimbursed for the $200 from the hotel that night which right now is POR. I'm also concerned with the fact that if we do stay at a deluxe on the 30th, we won't be in the room much due to that being our park day. But my husband really likes the idea of just hopping on the monorail to get to CR after a day of the park. There's also the option of staying the night before instead at CR or POLY and then we could actually take advantage of the amenities (pool and such).

If this may be the only chance to stay at the CR, I say go for it. I am not sure i you have ever visited the CR but it is a fun resort with great shops.

Totally agree: If this is your only chance to stay at CR, then go for it! You will not regret it!
