I am dying to hear some reviews of the new CS restaurant at CR that opens tomorrow. Is anyone there that can report in on their experience, the menus, anything?

We have many meals planned there during our upcoming stay. My partner and my MIL are rather picky eaters.

Wow. I am so disappointed! There is very little appealing on that menu for me. I'm really going to miss the sub sandwiches they used to have. This menu has changed my mind about where I'll be staying in December. I'll go back to the Epcot resorts area, where there are more options for plain food people like me.

Some of those items sound good. The one that I think I want to try the most is the Hot Open Roast Beef Sandwich.

Hmmm...what about prices? That stuff sounds FANCY for CS....

I bet it's expensive.

I have to admit, I'm intrigued. We may monorail over there when we stay at the Poly in March. I've been hearing some pretty awful things about Capt. Cook's lately...perhaps this will be our saving grace.

It depends on what you like to eat. When you don't like salad dressing, mayo, mustard, wine sauce, or multigrain bread, you can see where it might be a problem. I'd rather have a sub sandwich (with no condiments) or some chicken strips and fries. About the only thing I see for dinner is the pasta marinara (and it depends on the sauce whether that would work), lunch is out, which leaves breakfast - and I typically breakfast in the room. Considering I would even make a special trip to eat there if I was staying at one of the other nearby resorts, this new menu is a big disappointment to me. I guess it will just leave more room for the rest of you . . . .

I agree that it looks much better from an adult standpoint, but it isn't overly "kid friendly". The Food & Fun Center menu was limited.

I agree. That menu looks great to me, but it doesn't look very kid friendly or picky-eater friendly either.

It doesn't have chicken nuggets. Has a dinner pizza for kids apparently though. And a burger. But from what I have seen on these boards if they don't serve chicken nuggets that is limiting for a lot of kids. Adults too.

I know they say they are trying to encourage healthier eating.

On the Doing Florida site, they do list burgers and chicken nuggets.....I don't think we have the whole story just yet on the menu folks.

The new Contempo Café is due to open today at the contemporary
Resort. The new quick service location can be seen from the monorail as it passes through the hotel. The menu will feature “made-to-order salads, sandwiches, baked pastas and flatbreads, as well as vegetarian and whole-grain items”. Here are some of the items that will be available:

I feel this is a let down just like the Wave Very disappointing. Well I guess I won't be making any trips to the CS this time around nothing worth going there for. I've done Chef Mickeys already. Boy I sure will miss the Concourse Steakhouse. It was well worth a trip to CS but not anymore. The Wave menu is awful.
