Contacting BWI Concierge

Hi. My husband and I have booked a room at the concierge level of the Boardwalk Inn. We're going in October to celebrate my birthday. We've stayed at the BWI before but not at concierge level so we are very excited about it. We were lucky enough to stay at the Polynesian concierge level before and really enjoyed the 'extras' you get.

Does anyone know when the BWI concierge typically contact you following your booking? We made reservations at the end of January but haven't heard from them. I remember getting a welcome email from the Polynesian concierge almost right away following reserving that room.

We did not reserve a deluxe level club room. What are our chances of getting a boardwalk view? We love to sit on the balcony in the early morning while we have our coffee. We also like to unwind on the balcony after a long day at the parks, and want to do a lot of people watching.

I never wait for the concierge to contact me; I contact them as soon as I book. I booked back in January for our December trip and emailed them the next day with my requests. Nothing can be booked this far in advance but they have my requests, my cc number and email to book as soon as the window opens.

As far as a boardwalk view, yes it is possible without a deluxe room - on our trip last December, we had a Boardwalk view, but no deluxe room. I just requested it in my reservation and mentioned it to the IPO also (don't know if that made any difference, but didn't hurt to ask nicely).

Ironically, my birthday is in October too and I am from Massachusetts (though I now live in Illinois)

You should hear from them 180 days out or so maybe sooner. I am going in September & got mine last week. You can request a boardwalk view when you made the booking so you might want to call back and add it. It is only a request but when emailing the BWI Concierge's planners tell them you prefer a boardwalk view. We had one this past December.

Paladin, Happy Birthday a few months early! I love going to Disney in October for my birthday. We find the weather to be perfect. And we really enjoy going to MNSSHP.
