I would like to start wearing my contact lenses again but I can't remember what the tainted/recalled disinfectant solutions were.

It was a Bausch & Lomb Renu Multiplus - I think their no rub? that was recalled.. but that was like 2 years ago. Solution does expire (so the box says) and so do lenses themselves, if you've an old pair you want to put in that was already worn, they may not be good any longer.

If none of that applies, I've always used Opti-Free from Algon and have never had a problem. I currently use the express No Rub and have for at least 5 years. I've used the regular express and then sensitive eyes ones as well.

ETA: I googled - Complete MoisturePlus is the solution, and it might not be a B&L so I've no idea where I'm pulling that first one from... though it's been long enough that I don't think it much matters - I'd just find a new bottle of solution.

Thanks, I purchased monthly ( I think) lenses and I am good till 7/2009. I have to buy new solution since I have no idea what I did with the old one or if it's even still good. I think I ended up purchasing Complete by AMO at the time, so I will probably stick with that or Alcon.

It was Baucsh and Lomb as the PP mentioned. As it was a few years ago the products should be long off the shelves, esp since it was pulled.

been using Renu again for past several years. no problems.
