Considering stopping at the beach on the way home to CT???

We're heading home to CT tomorrow. We came down the inland route. I'm considering going to the beach tomorrow for at least a couple hours. Any suggestions?

I was thinking maybe Daytona because we passed the sign on the way here. I can't remember if that was on rte 95 or not. Is it far from the highway to the actual beach?

I'm going to check the map and make a plan when we get back to the room. We're in MK right now.
