We are heading to Disney in Nov and DH is trying to convince me to try these 2 rides. This will be our 4th trip to Disney and I am only just considering them. It took 3 trips for him to get me to try the big rides at Disney. I absolutely love RnR and TOT. EE was ok but I don't really like the backwards part but I can ride it again. The Mummy I can handle and didnt mind, Space Mountain I didn't overly enjoy but I can handle riding it again. I know this isn't a rollercoaster but I HATED the drop in Jurassic Park.

I think I may be ok on the Hulk from what I have seen but still a little nervous. But I am really unsure about RRR especially that first drop after you go straight up. Can anyone weigh in?

HRRR is a lot worse going up than going down because you are anticipating this huge drop. In reality it's quite smooth and one of the least teeth-rattling coasters you will ever ride. The Hulk gets you with its speed but if you liked Rock N Roller Coaster you will like Hulk.

Imo HRRR is nothing to be afraid of. Its not that great of a coaster imo but there weren't any overly big drops to be afraid of. Mostly just twists and turns.

You should be good on the Hulk if your ok on RNR. They are fairly close except you can see where your going on the Hulk. This would be my fav coaster atm. Tons of Fun!

Sounds like you managed to ride in the smooth cars. There are a couple of cars that will absolutely rattle you up to the point of giving you a lasting headache.

I am very very afraid of heights and love the Hulk because you don't have to worry about waiting while you go up. On RRR, I watched it and had the timing down :) It think it was 10 or 12 secs to the top, Because of how you are seated you really never even realize how high you are until the coaster starts and then it was just plain fun. I would have rode it again but since I didn't listen and left my iphone in my pocket I was to busy filing a lost report :)

the hulk is fun, and interms of intensity about the same as rnr,
but is my least favourite ride in florida.
I may have been unlucky but everytime ive been on it, i feel like ive been smacked hard in the side of the head a few times.
next trip im back for more punishment though!:confused3

What cars do you suggest for the smoothest ride.

I've ridden HRRR from front, back and in between and never had a ride I thought was rough. Maybe I just have a different definition of rough. To me the roughest of all rollercoasters are wooden ones, which don't have any loops at all.

Oh you'd know. My son -- the coaster fanatic that has ridden over 250 different rollercoasters, ended up on a rough car on RRR. He said it was one of the worst rides he's ever had on any coaster. I've only had 1 bad ride in the many times I've ridden it but you definitely know very quickly that you are on a very bad car. It rivals the worst wooden coasters. Even watching the video of the ride was painful, you could see the jarring.

Thanks I think I will be ok on the hulk then but I'm still a bit iffy on HRRR but feeling a bit more convinced then before

Put me down as one who has ridden RRR 5 or 6 times and always found it very smooth - the initial vertical climb was the most uncomfortable part, in my opinion.

Rode Hulk last November and in July and it seemed much rougher this time. I might have had a slightly stiff neck due to poor sleeping, but Hulk felt rougher for sure.

But if you can handle RnR coaster then you can handle Hulk and RRR.

PS - Find out how to access the hidden songs on RRR. "Break on Through" by the Doors was written for the RRR. Kinda like "The Dark Side of the Rainbow" if you catch the reference.

You mean it goes along with the roller coaster like dark side of the moon goes along with the wizard of oz

Then it's probably the reason why the ride is down so often. Either all the cars should be bone-jarring or they should all be smooth. Cedar Point may try and design in the former but you can bet that Universal is trying to make it uniformly smooth.
