Considering purchasing 75 direct .....

I’m considering purchasing 75 direct and having the membership in both mine and my husbands name. I currently have a resale in only my name, I’m not sure if I should make this direct in only my name or change the resale deed to have both names. I’d like to try to keep the same membership number (I’ve heard it makes thing easier) Any info or help?

If you want the same membership number, you will have to change the resale deed to both your names prior to purchasing the direct points. If your husband doesn't need the membership card, then you could just deed the direct points to just you to keep it on the sane membership.

I know this may sound silly but if I change the deed does it change the “benefits” at time of purchase? Meaning that I purchased prior to 2019 restrictions—- does that remain unchanged? Also how difficult is it to add him?

Deed name change does not change benefits.

I think the instructions on how to add someone is a few threads down. I think is called "step by step instructions on how to add a name to an existing contract." I haven't done it so I don't know how easy it is.
I would think that if you just add someone to the contract all benefits would remain the same as before the name add...but I have no personal experience with that.

Purchasing a 75 point add on requires an existing contract titled the same as your new, so you wanting to keep the same membership number isn't a preference, it's a requirement (there are occasional exceptions, however).

We bought 75 Riviera and were told we could buy 75 Poly if we had wanted. I had read that minimums for new buyers was 100, but that was not my experience when I called. Talk to a guide about the resort you are interested in as I think those limits change often.
