We just returned from an amazing week 11/27- 12/4 at POFQ. I was always intrigued by the concept of DVC but did not have all of the information. My mom and I were in DTD and began talking to a couple who gave us alot of info. We stopped at the DVC desk at our resort but they only had one seminar left for the eveing and we couldnt go to that one and we were leaving the in morning.I am so upset that we did not have the chance to go earlier in the week. We didnt think that we would be able to afford it but after speking to the couple at DTD and the CM at the DVC desk and finding out the sign on price for SSR, we now know that we will be able to do it. They said that my options from home are limited since I would have to attend a session in order to get the 15% off of knowing a member and to recieve all of the information. They cannot give it to us unless we go to the seminar. I am so bummed because I dont have any future trips planned at this point and dont know if we are able to afford the price (we need to fly as we are from Phila.) of a one day trip just for the seminar. Any suggestions?????? Please help.... Also what is the benefit of a current DVC member if I sign on and use their name as a referral. I know they are offering 15% off to the new member. thanks so much...I look forward to the feedback as I always get so much info on this site. I wish I would have come on this DVC site before going on my trip, but like I mentioned I always thought it was out of our price range.
The incentive is the same with a member name 15% off. There are a lot of people on this board who would help you with the discount. The seminar is good. We went and bought on the spot. The discount was a little different then but still good. If you would like I can give you my info. Just send me a PM. Good luck with your decision. The only regret I have is not doing it sooner.
Don't sweat it....just contact someone and you can have the discount!!

The guide at Epcot told me that anything could be done via phone and mail. He was very low pressure and he was right. I had a GREAT guide (salesperson) assigned to me when I called the DVC 800 number. Her name is Linda Scolaro and she is a long term cast member. She spent time with me answering any and all questions professionally, no matter how insignificant the inquiry. She was low to no pressure allowing me and my wife to make up our own minds. She's very cool and I can't say enough about how easy she was to deal with.
