i'm wondering now what the rest of the world thinks about the u.s. i'll bet they think we're just a big country filled with a bunch of clowns.

I just think of us as loudly voicing our guys are fit to be equal partners in the global community; one more step towards our goal to be another third-world country.

yeah.

wonder what political cartoons about us look like in newspapers/periodicals in other countries. barnum and baily probably.

Have both MySpace & Facebook, but rarely use MySpace. I get too many creepers. I mean seriously, it says "In a Relationship" you ain't gettin any. :sad2: So I've just given up on that. I don't get the creepers on Facebook, so I stick with that. I have friends on MySpace though that don't have Facebook, so I keep it around. E-mail is totally over-rated :rolleyes1

I love MySpace because you can personalize your page. It's more fun. But Facebook has more of my old friends on it. I check both everyday. I try to keep it a politics free zone, though. My real life friends are there and very few are conservative. I don't like to engage in debate with people I love.

That's what message boards are for, right? :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I am the same way about both sites.

Well I'm going to bed. 'Night guys!!

:grouphug:

you know that funny blip you get in your tummy when you see your name in writing? like when somebody's mom is screaming at their kid in the store and it is also your name? well..for a second, i thought i was gonna have to go punch joy behar (not a bad idea i guess....)

 I had to read that twice, lol.

As hard as undergrad was, grad school was a different kind of hard because I was so distracted by my full-time job and life in general. I hope you can cut yourself some slack - and not just in school. One thing in grad school was learning and using the word 'no.' I love that word - 'will you help with our children's program at church?' NO 'are you free to babysit?' NO 'can you serve on this committee?' NO, NO, and once again, NO.

Unfortunately, I let too many people know that I had graduated so I've gotten sucked into some things over the past few years but I do say that lovely word more often than I used to.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all of those beginning their semesters - it's a rough go but well worth the trouble. You'll be so glad you pulled through.

Thank you, I will remember to do that :goodvibes . What did you study in college?

Well, I'm off to bed. I've got a super, long day ahead of me tomorrow. I have classes back-to-back from 10-9. I am going to miss my kids so much.:sad1:

DH is still working on the rooms and I'm busy with DS. So I'm outta here for the night.

G'nite, DISCons! :grouphug:

Greetings! Stranded in Iceland. Please send money.:lmao:

Hi Data, I know you were talking to Mr Man, but could you translate this for the rest of us. :rotfl2:

Hey did any of you watch Hannity last night? We missed it since it was on at the same time as 24. I was curious how the format of the new show went since it was his debut without Colmes.

Has anyone here ever notice just how hateful that other bunch is? Just wondering.

I feel kind of sorry for many of them, actually. Imagine going through life that angry and bitter. And they're going to get angrier and more bitter as time goes on and they realize they've attached their "hope" to a man that can't possibly do all the things he promised and all the things that they have convinced themselves he will do.

We missed Hannity too, JB. Jack Bauer comes first in this house. :lmao:

DH says that the only thing wrong with Jack Bauer is that he's not real.
