The military deal is a wonderful offer and it's great that Disney is doing it. So many military folks who couldn't otherwise afford it are going to be part of the Magic!!

hrmm...DH just sent me the email about the military special Disney is offering this year to all active duty military....apparently he wants to try and figure out a way to go.

If we do figure out a way to swing it...I'm gonna be calling on ALL of your help to plan it. I haven't been there in 15 years and last time I was there I was with my mouseketeer friend, so I did things most people don't get to do. I've never stayed on property either but we'd likely do POP since it is most affordable. DH and I aren't big on paying for hotel rooms when we only plan to sleep there.

We love POP and always book-end our DVC stays there.

All Star Movies looks fun to me too I love all the big Disney characters. But I think Pop is better for the bus service.

We stayed in All Star Music back in 2003 I liked all the oversized stuff, it was fun!

JB- that sounds like an awesome deal. If it's for the whole family, then you might be able to do POR. It allows for 5, plus and infant under 3. They have a little trundle bed in some fo the Bayou rooms. If not, you could do the two connecting rooms at a value.
I would love to take a trip with just dh and I, someday..

I'm there through August 7th. Any help you need planning, feel free to ask. I love doing stuff like that. As a CM, I will be able to get additonal discounts for people so that combined with the military discount could make this a very cheap trip.

Good morning everyone!

I am officially eating the worst double cheeseburger I have ever gotten from McD's. It's awful. Blech - I'm disappointed because I love their double cheeseburgers and I never get to have them. Bummer.

Hi all. Hope all's well with everyone.

My mom has her first surgery tomorrow, which is the biopsy of the 2nd area that they couldn't get in the Dr.'s office. She'll be knocked out for it (it'll be done in the hospital). It's not supposed to take long, but I'm a nervous wreck and really agitated right now. Prayers for her are still appreciated, as are prayers for me. As it is now they think she needs around 5 weeks of radiation, but no chemo. I pray that that stays that way. I've only been more scared than this once in my life, and that was when my grandfather had a massive stroke. Stressful time.

I'm not posting much, but still reading. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers, tonight and tomorrow especially.

On a happy note, today begins our official 60 day countdown to WDW Spring Break 09!!!!!!

We are doing BWV this year. We have never stayed there (did visit their pool once). The boys LOVE the roller coaster clown slide. I like the close proximity to EPCOT's world pavillion. I have this dream of drinking my way around WS. Never done it before.....never even got close......but I wonder if that is simply because of the looooooooong walk/stagger/crawl back to the monorail/busses I was dreading.

Cannot wait. We are taking one set of grandparents and my sister's family with us. The nice thing about this, is we can all fit into one Grand Villa. Last time we had 22 people with us so we really had to spread out room wise.

Should be a wonderful trip.

DW insists we give Disney a shot at emptying the wallet a bit more and look at Bay Lake resort. I intend to play tough on this, given the recent financial downturn. She asked about it tonight and I simply said two words:

"Dodd" and "Franks"

Oh - my inlaws gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas and I ordered my books online. I got three delivered to me yesterday - Glenn's "An Inconvenient Book," a Politically Correct Guide to the Consitution (can't wait to read this one) and IKE - (biography of Eisenhower). I'm reading Glenn's book right now. He's a funny guy. (I don't remember the authors of the other two).

So what's this new financial position Obama has created? I heard about it briefly this morning on the news and then had to get my son from school.

I'm reading Glenn's book right now. He's a funny guy. (I don't remember the authors of the other two).

I love "An Inconvenient Book." Trust me, it'll get even funnier the more you read it.

She's still struggling. She'll be fine one minute and the very next minute she sees double, can't grasp or speak. She talked with her neuro on Monday and asked for surgery. They are going to take out her thymus (not sure how that's spelled) and put her on a chemotherapy like drug. I'll probably go down there to help her while she's in the hospital for chemo.

She's got good spirits about it and is very positive. Once the thymus is out and the chemo is done, they are expecting a nearly full recovery. Good news.

I can't believe I ate that whole cheeseburger. It was yucky and I still ate the whole thing.

Glad to hear of the full recovery. I have been thinking we should start a thread in here where people can post someone who needs our prayers (and that is all that is posted in there). Responses can be posted elsewhere. This would be a neat way to keep track of who we need to be thinking of.

I had a What-a-burger on the plane yesterday.......it was good. I would like another but have to wait until I get home.......(grrr...)
