Honestly, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary......

Translation: lots of satire, sarcasm, some strident argument, a bit of absurdio ad reductum......the usual......... but no personal insults or harsh language.......not my style.

Speaking of Panetta, did y'all hear the real reason he was chosen? Because no one else wanted the job! Also, the first guy offered the job, John Brennan, was too closely allied with GWB's post-911 policies [the ones that have kept us safe?]. And he was closely allied because he had a little experience?

panetta was just a big joke to those of us who lived in san jose when he was a congressman. i suspect he'll always be funny in a not-so-ha-ha sort of way.

I still think Panetta was chosen because he was against water-boarding while on the Iraq Studies Group.....that is the sum total of his qualifications. I have no real evidence for this other than President-elect Obama's own words (which sometimes require restating)

Mr. Obama also promised that his intelligence team would break from Bush administration practices that he said had "tarnished" the government's image.
