i have a cd with the ORIGINAL lyrics from aladdin. do you guys remember when the arab community was up in arms because they thought the lyrics were unfair, "where they cut off your head if they don't like your face, is barbaric, but hey, it's home"? i was gobsmacked when disney folded and changed the lyrics. not only do the lyrics reflect the situation at the time, as we've so very sadly seen, it is the way things are still done.

who do people think they're fooling?

I have that CD too!! I've never understood why they changed the lyrics either. Why hide the truth??

i don't get this business about libs being the educated group...when i was growing up it was the well-bred conservatives who were formally educated, regardless of whether it was paid by daddy or they had to work their way through. libs were out smoking pot and hitch-hiking around europe and joining the peace corp.

lemme tell ya...i don't live far from u.c. berkeley, and nothing coming outta there seems the least bit educated.

I would like some Long John Silvers, and DH was supposed to take me last night but it didn't happen so last night said he'd take me tonight. Tonight he's at the movies with our boarder; they're seeing Gran Terino. Said he'd take me for lunch tomorrow or Thursday. I said before he left, "We're on for tomorrow, right?" He said, "Or the day after". Which means it'll probably be awhile more before he takes me.

You've explained it perfectly, but I want to add one more thing. There are many sources who say Lincoln was as racist as everyone else. This proves that he didn't free the slaves just because it was the right thing to do. He did it to save the country. The slaves were merely pawns in that whole ordeal.

Don't get me wrong. I think Lincoln was a wonderful man who was a brilliant president and great human being, but his brilliance is being misconstrued to fit a certain message.

from all that i've read, it seems abe spent a lot of time with his friends, colleagues, and conscience working out whether or not it was morally acceptable to "own" another human. i believe he would have proposed abolishing slavery anyway, but the timing was right and he knew it would weaken the south. we call that "strategery".

i never even learned the new words.

they are hiding the truth 'cause there were hurt feelings over it. the protests took place in the u.s., and i wanted to ask those people, "HEY!!! did you come here 'cause things were so great THERE??? or did you want to avoid having your head chopped off?"

That's not the half of it. A month later he sent me a love poem over Myspace, which I used as interpretation that he wanted me back (I told him a flat out no). Oh, and then he sent me a birthday card...with money in it. It made me feel much more secure in my autism that there is someone more socially clueless than I was. Of course, he was a genius when I first met him, but then again, they all are.

Yup!! Some of it I made, like the 2nd and 3rd pictures in my signature. Just search for "Glenn Beck" in the Flair search box. There's quite a bit of Glenn flair on there (like I said, I've contributed heavily myself).

lol. Yeah, RELEVANT's very diverse. I was hoping for a few opinions from our board on there. I for one hope he succeeds for the sole fact that I love this country. I hope many of his policies don't come to pass, but I hope he at least leads this country well. However, if ANYTHING bad happens because of a soft stance on terrorism, I will turn on him VERY fast.

i don't think i want him to "succeed" 'cause i think that'd mean implementing at least some of his inane "plans". the best i can do is hope he doesn't cause too much irreversible damage.
