Hey Soarin, just had to say I like your avatar! Of course I like anything that is Glenn Beckish.

I had to tell you that we took my In-laws to see the encore showing of The Christmas Sweater last night. My MIL has some emotional problems related to family Christmases past and we thought it would help her to see it. Actually I fell that we were meant to take them because we had some things happen that pointed us in that direction.

I ordered a signed copy of the book, but got two extra copies two weeks later. When I called the company they had no record of them being sent and told us to keep them. We gave them to two people that were having some problems in their life right now and they told us how reading it helped them. Then when we went to the live show, the only empty seats in the theater were the two directly in front of us. It turns out that both my wife and I came to the same conclusion that we were supposed to take her Mom and Dad to the movie showing.

We were so glad that we did as my MIL actually cried and afterward hugged my wife and told her that she was her joy! This is from a lovely woman who turns into the Grinch at Christmas time every year. I even joked during the film "that her heart grew three sizes that day". I have never seen her open up like she did. I think it really helped her deal with some of the baggage she has been carrying. She now loves Glenn! Of course I don't dare tell her that Glenn is a Conservative!

Maybe I just was reading too much into it, but it sure seemed like God wanted us to help her, and knowing that we couldn't do it alone, we could help her through Glenn.

I am so glad your mil liked the play! I know he made me re-think about some things in my life.

Hi ya'll! I'm back from my Happy Place. It was Magical. Every day.... perfect weather.....perfect everything.

I see nothing's changed....OS still happy and perky I listening to SH. There're discussing how NOW it's OKAY to call "him" barack HUSSEIN obama.

Nobody got sick. I think all the alcohol killed the germs. Everything was perfect. We arrived around 11:30am...AND OUR ROOM WAS READY!! That's NEVER happened to me before. The weather was perfect. We had our anniversary dinner at Narcoosees. We were seated BY the window...castle/fireworks view.....complimentary champagne. We were even seated ON TIME!! Every request we made was honored. The only complaint....MVMCP. I have been to special events in the past and LOVED them. MVMCP was soooooo oversold. MK was SLAMMED!! I have NEVER seen it so overcrowed.

Otherwise, everything was wonderful. It was the first, non-business trip we have been on ALONE! It only took us 28 years. Better late than never.

Sounds wonderful. I'm sorry to hear about the Christmas Party. You'd think they would limit the number of tickets sold being that it's a special event. I hope the rest of your vacay gets better and better.

i don't know how you guys do this for an entire season.

You stay busy. That's the key. Pack your days with activities and never sit around, the time flies. I am prone to getting the winter blues and can get very down during the long, drawn out winter. Last year I took on coaching my daughter's cheerleading squad. I was so busy and had so much fun, the winter flew by. No blues. I'm coaching again this year. Those kids are crazy funny. It's impossible to be mopey around a bunch of spirited, lively cheerleaders. I just love it.
