Thanks, blestmom. I knew she was due in December, so I thought I'd ask. :goodvibes

Mmmm, that food sure looks good, breezy.

Pre-Inauguration, "Distraction" Scandal #2 heating up??? Richardson has always seem like a straight guy to me, but if Richardson had a "R" after this name, I can only imagine how this would play in the press:
The only thing is, I don't Richardson is intelligent enough to be corrupt. Stupid enough to let it happen, but not to take any advantage of it. :cool2:

Where is everyone today? You guys go and get a life, or what? How am I supposed to procrastinate on folding my laundry if you all won't hang out and chat with me?

Hi Michelle - I'm here, but leaving. I need to get back to sewing. My hands were hurting, but the motrin has kicked in. :)

Have a good night!

Sorry...I've been busy paying bills and doing housework after a jam-packed week of church plays, choir concerts, and ballet shows. And trying to get caught up on sleep!

How is everybody?

I hope you have a very happy and blessed Christmas, Robin. :flower3: I am so happy you are with us.

Hi Robin. :wave2:

Lauri, (Need_A_Disney_Fix) - It's too bad we didn't get to meet up at POP. I thought I saw you one evening getting on a bus but you were too far away and I didn't want to make a fool of myself yelling and it NOT turn out to be you. Did you enjoy your stay at POP?

Well, if you talk to me and help me procrastinate packing...:lmao:

You got a deal.

So....what's your temp over there now, do you know? It is 22* here. Highest temp I saw all day was 32* but I don't even think that was accurate. I think that was just because the sun was shining directly on the sensor. The neighbor behind me lost a tree over the weekend (I can see it leaning waaaaaaay over back there) and our other neighbor's daughter told me this morning that two fell on one of their outbuildings. Which is good since the outbuilding stopped them from falling on their house. :scared1:

It's always fun when people start bugging you at 9:30 at night to bake cookies and then proceed to fall asleep.:confused3 I have a good mind to eat them all now.:rotfl:

Eat a few, hide the rest and just say you ate them all. Friendlier on the waistline (or in my case, the lack thereof). Gotta pace ourselves, ya know. We still have a few weeks of this holiday thing.

Hello, everyone. It's raining here!! Yay! It is so refreshing and beautiful. You all probably think I'm crazy, but we don't get a lot of rain here. :goodvibes

i'm also in california (central valley) and the rain poured all night. it was nice. this morning on my way to work (bay area), i saw snow!!!! and a double rainbow!!!! magical...hooray for winter (in california).

Right now weather.com says 28 but I don't think so. Wind chill is 15*. Highest temp I saw today was 29*.

Went and got my hair colored today. It's a color I've never had before...red! The color is called Red Wine, and it's like kind of a brownish-red color.

Hi all! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. My mom and I went to see Bolt tonight. It was much funnier than I expected. The food prices, however, are not funny! They continue to go up. A tiny bag of popcorn is $5, and a tiny soft drink is $4. An Icee the same size as one you would get at Hardees or somewhere for a dollar and change cost over $5! Sheesh! No wonder I just look at the prices and don't buy any food or drinks there.

Thanks for the book recommendations, all. I'll take a list with me next time I go to a bookstore and look them up. debbieandroo, my dad is a huge CW history buff, so he has Gettysburg and Killer Angels. I may ask him if I can borrow them. I'd guess he has close to a thousand history books, mostly about the CW and WWII, with a good chunk of Revolutionary books thrown in. I have no doubt he could rival the collections of the libraries of a few area colleges in terms of American war-related books.

It's currently 23 with a high of 29 today. The roads are snowy and iced. Fun.

I'm a Bible-thumper, too, so no offense taken here when someone starts with the God-talk. Shoot, even if wonder started talking about why she doesn't believe in God it wouldn't offend me in the slightest because she wouldn't sit and tell us why we're all idiots for believing in God. Just as none of us would ever call her names for not believing.
::yes::

I'm a former Bible college grad, evangelical, fundamentalist-Bible-church-attender-all-my-life person myself - and have been so excited to 'meet' all of these great conservatives from every walk of life. Heck, I've even found some nice Yankees! Who knew? *ducking from the size 10 shoes that Deb #1, Teresa, Hilarie and MM are just about to throw*
:rotfl2: I read this and thought, ya know, she's got a point. Many members of my family do call Northerners Yankees. In an affectionate way of course. ;)

Ok, there's no way I'm going back to catch up. ;)

Can't stay long, I'm in "comfort food" mode....

Oh my, how yummy! I had a mishap over the weekend and bit the inside of my mouth in my sleep. So now I'm not eating much thanks to the pain. This shall tide me over, reminding me of what I'll be able to eat again soon. :cloud9:

Hey Robin! Hope all is well with you.

I refer to Northerners as Yanks, Yankees, and sometimes damn Yankees. :rotfl: *and ducks*

I love red hair! We have natural redheads in my family, but I'm not one of them. I use henna sometimes to go red. I prefer henna because it washes out over time and you don't have to keep dyeing.

:lmao: I've been called a Yank a number of times. My perspective on this is that Washington wasn't even a state until 1890, so y'all can leave me out of that argument. :rotfl:

But actually I was born in Delaware. I leave that part out.

This sweet little Southern belle livin' below the Mason-Dixon is nice and cozy while the 20 something degree winds blow around her -- we're hearing sleet and are wondering if the schools will open tomorrow. They closed early today due the *threat* of sleet -- gotta love that Southern 'wintry mix.'

Tink with red hair - you go girl! It is funny - except for the cons whose pictures have been posted, I generally think of y'all as looking like your screen name. So, to me, Tink is Tinkerbell, Wonderlanne is Alice, SD is a girl Donald [I'm still working out the blond hair on a Donald]. Also avatars are involved -- Soarin', although I know she's a girl, looks like Nathaniel Parker in my mind.

Get some sleep tonight, Tink so you can be up early tomorrow morning and have a wonderful time! We'll miss you! Post pictures please....
