Thank you, thank you very much!
Hi all! Just checking in before a late dinner. honugirl, I'm glad you're back and safe and sound. Lots were worried about you.
Hope everyone with various ailments feels better soon. mrsdon, I'm still praying for you that your tests tomorrow will go well. If everyone could keep praying (and praying hard) for my family member too, I'd appreciate it. Her testing is tomorrow as well.
I think it has been quite awhile since Bella's been around. nanner has also been MIA for quite awhile now. Has AP been around much? I don't remember seeing her screenname in a while either. Hope everyone's okay.

y'all crack me up![]()
...sick, twisted freaks....all of ya!![]()
And I'm glad to see ya back, honu!

Oh how cute!!You guys will get a laugh out of this. Santa came by today (the firemen bring him around on the firetruck) and DD went out to talk to him.
She has been saying she was going to ask for either an Ipod (the little pink one) or a wii. OK so I have the Wii because they are hard to find. Then DH gets the Ipod because he saw it at Best Buy over the weekend. We know we won't keep both but we think we are so smart being ready and all. Yes, you have guessed it I bet! She goes up to Santa and says, "I want the big house for my Little Pets."![]()
So I guess I get to return on Friday. Unless DH claims the Wii for himself he has been dieing to "make sure it works".
Kids! At least we'll save a lot of money!![]()
. Need I go look and see what the OS think?![]()
Need you ever?![]()
glass of kool-aid? I believe the flavor they were serving today was "sour grape" or was it "lemon & let lemon". Of course, it could have been a shot of denial, served straight.

Thanks #1 Hockeymom

I have to say speaking of my son, I was really proud of him. He has a group of very young teachers who spent the entire first two and half months of school doing election coverage and basically drilling into the kids why this election was so exciting and wonderful. Several times they had the kids raise their hands to do a mock poll. Ds and one other brave young kid were always the only ones to vote for McCain which of course didn't give them much in the way of love and respect. Ds wrote a very nice essay all about McCain and why if he was 18 he would have voted for him. It was really good if I do say so. The teacher gave him a D but said he could correct some spelling errors and she would regrade it. I can't help but think if he had written about the virtues of BO, he would have gotten a better grade. Oh well, ds said he'd rather get a bad grade and write the truth than a bunch of lies just to make his teacher happy. I might add this teacher has never one time taken points off for spelling errors.
And in the next presidential election, ds will be 18 and can vote for real! Hopefully he will stand strong against the liberal agenda of his teachers. I know I didn't and became quite a liberal for a few years. But then I came home back to Mama!
Hi, everybody.
Got an email from my momma...and thought you would all get a "kick" out of what she had forwarded.
My husband can't handle it either. I can handle it from my kids, but if another kid throws up, I need to leave the room.
On the other hand, the quilt my DD and I are making is absolutely adorable. I'm liking it!
Sorry to interrupt your conversation yet again...........Mahnahmahnah, debbieroo, and Tink & Goofy (and anyone else who was wondering where Honugirl was) - You guys may already know this by now, but I just wanted to let you guys know that Honugirl is back!! She was supposed to have come back from her Thanksgiving trip earlier, but she decided to stay longer so that she could spend more time with her family. She didn't get a chance to go on the internet while she was on her trip and was unable to let us know that she was staying longer. Mystery solved! Thanks for your concern and help!![]()
The Unicorn club members and I have thrown Honugirl a DIS Veteran party over on the celebration board. Feel free to join us if you want. Please excuse all of our Unicorn nonsense. Here's the link if you want to offer your congratulations.

umm...my house is never clean??I'd rather quilt and play with the kids (and sleep) than scrub my toilets and fold laundry....we're the kind of family that often wears things straight out of the dryer or laundry basket... DH makes dinner frequently...and I'm forced to take a lunch break at work...if you all only knew how many UFO's I have in my many craft endeavors (Un Finished Objects) you would understand my neurotic addiction to fabric
...and if that wasn't bad enough, my mother decided last christmas that since I was a newlywed I needed to start scrapbooking...a craft I was purposely avoiding because of the sheer volume of "stuff" it requires....so guess what I now have tons of??? I haven't started actually USING any of it yet though...My goal for 2009 is to finish at least 2 of my UFOs before starting any NEW projects. I've got a couple I'm stuck at so I might post a picture for you guys to offer suggestions.
I actually would get alot more done if I could keep my nose out of books. I am a fast reader and hate not having something good to read, so I usually go through 2-4 books per week. I take a hot bath every night and take a book in with me so that is where I get most reading done, plus I have mastered being able to feed Jacob and read at the same time, which I do late at night so I don't fall asleep while feeding him. I'm always up for good suggestions on reading. Mom brought me about 30 books the weekend she was here 4 weeks ago and I've read 4 of my own, but I've only got about 6 left of what she brought me so I'll be on the lookout for new stuff in a week or two.
THANK YOU! We've missed her
Ok, now where is Bella??
btw.. I got my job back!*stillhappyhappyhappy!*
I agree, I hope all are well. I pray for y'all everyday, but it's nice to know who needs that little extra somin' somin'.![]()
Prayers said and will continue...![]()

Obama wants to reboot Americas image
By JENNIFER LOVEN AP White House Correspondent
12/10/2008
WASHINGTONPresident-elect Barack Obama says he will try to reboot Americas image among the worlds Muslims and will follow tradition by using his entire nameBarack Hussein Obamain his swearing-in ceremony.
...Asked if he would drop his middle name during his inauguration on Jan. 20, the president-elect said he would not.
The tradition is that they use all three names and I will follow the tradition, not trying to make a statement on [sic] way or another, he said.

Duckworth comments on consideration for Senate
QUINCY, IL -- Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled.
Obama met with Governor Rod Blagojevich earlier this week to discuss it. Illinois law states that the governor chooses that replacement. There's already been speculation about his selection...from Congressman Jesse Jackson, Junior to Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs Director Tammy Duckworth.
KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month on our website ConnectTristates.com. The story, which discussed the appointment of a replacement for President Elect Obama in the U.S. Senate, became the subject of much discussion on talk radio and on blog sites Wednesday.
The story housed in our website archive was on the morning of November 5, 2008. It suggested that a meeting was scheduled later that day between President Elect Obama and Illinois Governor Blagojevich. KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place. Governor Blagojevich did appear at a news conference in Chicago on that date.
