I'll start posting Christmas stuff Thursday evening. :santa:

Forgive my :hyper: over :santa:

But we have waited so long to have DD - that I am beyond excited for her first Christmas! :lovestruc

I caught up with the other thread Tink-

She has 3 outfits for Christmas and not one of them fits her. She is so long! Apparently we have a little supermodel in the making. So tomorrow I'm going to look for an outfit for her. Target had nothing except 'little bugger' sizes.

The one that made my eyes bleed was Lowes a couple of years ago when they had a big sign up for their live "Holiday Trees". It was a very long time before I could walk into a Lowes again after seeing that.

No, I'm hyper over Christmas, too. I've been watching Christmas shows all week and listening to Christmas music. :santa:
We can't find any santa outfits for DS. They're all 18 mo and up. He'll be 10 months tomorrow, but you know that as he's two days older than your DD. :thumbsup2 MIL has a 12mo santa outfit for him when we meet in Cali in 3 weeks.

when i was growing up, that's what my parents used to call my bedroom.:lmao:
:lmao:

You guys will have to forgive me for my premature Christmas sig. I usually don't like to see or hear Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving but Grumpy Pirate sent the artwork out via PM and I just couldn't help myself. Had to do it. :)

I don't mind the premature Christmas siggie!:rotfl2: I couldn't wait either. I get really excited at Christmas. I love decorating, cooking and giving gifts. My inner child is really on the loose this time of year!!

Where did you guys get the trip time lines? Maybe when I change my sigie to Christmas I could try to add a timer for our June trip too.

I hope your eye feels better. Could it be pink eye? If it is not better by Tuesday go see the Dr as they may be off the rest of the week, and you don't want to spend the long weekend sick! (It's the mom in me, sorry!)

John, I am rolling my eyes sarcastically with your map. I believe that I will be sorting socks at the very least January 20, 2009. At the very worst, I will be scooping the litter box and cleaning toilets.

There are 3 places that most people get their tickers from. www.************** www.tickerfactory.com and www.magicalkingdoms.com
On all three sites you have several backgrounds and icons to choose from, once you make your selections you enter a date and tags. Click next to submit and you get a code to put into your siggie. Use the vBulletin/message board code. Copy it and paste it to your siggie. HTH!

WOW, I think that's my schedule for that day too.;)

Okay, in regards to the Sicko thread? What am I missing? Mom received the best care while she was on Medicare. Is our healthcare system that bad? Ummm...I am not thinking it is.

Well, I've been laying low a little today ... Dolce, Michelle, and Blestmom - I think I've caught all those cyber-germs....hope this day of rest has rejuvenated me through this week [when several people are already off so I really can't take off myself].

Tink, about your 'greatest generation' comment -- I totally agree -- Our beloved Ron, when he was CA Governor was challenged by some young hippies that he was out of touch because his generation didn't know how to use the latest technology. His response - 'Your generation may use [the latest technology] but it was my generation that invented it.' [RR said it so much better than I did but I hope you get the idea]
My comments were based on my attempt to think of the good that is going on now -- we do have much to be ashamed of and I don't think we've really had that sense of comraderie [sp?] that there was since WWII. I hate to think that it would take a lot of hardship for us as a nation to get back to this point...

Dolce - I commend you for your trip to WDW over Christmas. One thing that's nice about being grown-up and unmarried is that decision to make your holidays your own. I used to hate family Christmases and it took me a long time to pull away from them. At this point in my life, my Christmases are spent with friends or by myself and I couldn't be happier about them. You go, girl!

Michelle - I love your siggie! I love it so much that I'll forgive you for skipping my own favorite Thanksgiving....

Tink and Michelle -- I HATED it when a teacher would make up her own nickname for me....the nerve! I would hate Shelly and Missy, too. My teachers would formalize my name - Deborah. Blek! Now, I think it's a cool name but so totally not me, ever, at all....

I thought this was kinda funny -- Chris Matthews' take on HC as SoS, actually both of his opinions. First, on the TODAY show:

VIEIRA: Let's start with word that Hillary Clinton will be nominated as secretary of State. You have said that this is the most extraordinary event since the election. What do you mean?

MATTHEWS: Well, it's extraordinary. Can you imagine if Hillary Clinton had won the primary fight and she had picked Barack Obama as her secretary of State? Either way, it's an astounding gesture of magnanimity to take on the person you beat in a very tough, really eight-year fight if you count all the way back to when Senator Clinton wanted to become president. And it's a hell of a fight he won it and yet here he turned over basically the jewel in the crown of his administration, secretary of State, to his opponent. It's a magnanimous gesture. It's astounding to everyone involved, I think.

He has a different opinion when he's not on national television:

An avowed Clinton lover who was sitting next to Matthews reports: “He was in business class wearing a red baseball hat that said Penn on the back, and the fat [bleep] fell asleep on the train and snored with his mouth open.”

During the ride to DC, Matthews awoke from his nap. A fellow passenger asked him, “What’s the news tomorrow?” - to which Matthews loudly started talking about President-elect Barack Obama possibly picking Hillary as his secretary of state.

“I don’t understand it,” Matthews bellowed. “Why would he pick her? I thought we were done with the Clintons. She’ll just use it to build her power base. It’s Machiavellian. And then we’ll have Bill Clinton, too. I thought Obama didn’t want drama. He’s already got [chief of staff Rahm] Emanuel and [transition team leader John] Podesta. He’ll have even more drama with her.

“She’s just a soap opera. If he doesn’t pick her, everyone will say she’s been dissed again, we’ll have to live through that again.”

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Whoa whoa whoa!!!!

I leave for a DAY and we have a new thread???????

ALL RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6 months and 4 weeks is a really long time! Maybe I sould have waited until closer - no that's ok.

Can you tell I am just tickled with myself? I might have to go ahead with a Christmas one too. But the little pumpkin that the tag fairy found stays all year!
