Yup, always start with the spreadsheet. Then cut and paste the park hours into it, work out roughly where best to be for morning, afternoon and evening accounting for early entry, magic hours, fantasmic etc. Then overlay adrs for one main meal per day, lunch or dinner.
We have DVC, annual passes, dde card and a vacation home on the Gulf Coast so we generally spend three to five days at the World each trip and usually make three or four trips to Florida each year. It is amazing how often a family member is able to get away and join us!
For our January trip we had to waitlist for the three nights we wanted but they came through eventually.

KEWL!!!! i was beginning my research into DVC when the unfortunate and still alleged economic crisis hit. thought it might be better to wait on that, but i definitely ALWAYS get a premium pass. it more than pays off during the second trip and for those "short notice" trips!

any chance of a secret spreadsheet?

or

i can call you daddy if you want.

or

i'd put one together for you.

Yup, just what I was thinking. When Soarin's family is in the middle of WDW next week she could be the new hero when she whups out a secret spreadsheet (or plan of any sort) that shows a clear path through the day. :yay:

k...i'll send you where i'd like to be. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well I shall see what can be whipped up in around four days.;)

I usually don't like touring plans at all but if I were going next week (and I may :cool1: ), given the holiday crowds I'd see what UOG had to say. Their website even has personalized plans available for a tiny subscription fee.

As I mentioned earlier, my big deal is to decide which park is best for me to be in on which day. I don't plan much beyond that.

It will be pretty nuts around WDW next week, but if you aren't intent on riding EVERY ride and seeing EVERY show the crowds can add to the excitement!

I'm not because in five weeks I'll be back down there working at WDW so I can go to the parks whenever I want!

Having the whole family together, jostling through the throng in World Showcase on New Year's Eve.
Priceless!

Once DH and I started going more often, we really started to enjoy our trips more-but we are a bit spoiled. If the line is over 20 minutes, it's "next time!" and off we go. We want to get to Hollywood early next time so we can get on Toy Story Mania-those fast passes are GONE so quickly and that ride is great.

We can't ever GO to WS because my 8yo brother finds it boring- except for that train set over there in Germany, I believe it is- he'll stand there watching it for an hour!:lmao:

then you must take him over to the American Pavilion!! They have a huge Christmas tree out front with at least two train sets riding around it. DH stood there watching that for a good long time too-his inner 8 year old was having a great time!

:scared1: :lmao: We'll NEVER get anything done! Though hey, he can do that while me and my mother watch the American Adventure (leave it to an 8yo boy to squirm and complain during a patriotic show).

See, you're learning how to make all the "guests" happy!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Go on the trip, but please don't pack your lime green thong.

That sounds awesome!

Yeah, I know that if I can pull this thing off I'll be the "Mac Daddy" around the house at least through the winter. It's that dang niggling practicality that overtakes my romantic side sometimes that stands in the way.

I read that as "nippling". :rotfl:

Yeah, I've got a poster of LOG hanging in my office. I look at it everyday and with starry-eyed wonder breathlessly say to myself, "Some day I'll be cool like that guy." The poster looks something like this...

STOP!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Very true. Good point. :thumbsup2

ford family, you've got "street cred" here IMO. :goodvibes

::yes::

Hey, steady with the sweeping generalisation, some of us don't believe in either religion or global warming..... but still believe in strong conservative values.

Ahhh, but I said I wasn't talking about anyone here on the Dis.

Hey ff - looks like I'll be in your US neck of the woods soon. I love Bradenton. My favorite golf course is University Park (I think it's technically in Sarasota), but they do have one strike against them - no dog at the turn. What's up with that?
