
She's waiting for her surgeon to get back from a conference on Thursday to tell her what he thinks of these stupid test results (you know, the ones where they say "We have no clue whether chemo is harmful or helpful to people in your score range, but the little research we have done shows a "benefit" of a negative 3 percent.").
If I were to wager a guess, I don't think she's going to get it, regardless of what he says. The risks involved are bothering her too much. I'm trying to say less and less because I don't want to feel like I'm responsible for her not getting it; then I'll blame myself if something does happen to her later. If he says she really should get it, I think she'll go along with him. She trusts his opinion based on his reputation and track record (top oncologist for breast cancer, and I believe also liver cancer, in the state). Can't say the same for the chemo doctor.
