Our family has sent in our pics as well. I am really curious as to what he has planned. I guess we will find out on March 13. If you go ahead and start a thread just be forewarned, the Libs go NUTS when Glenn Beck is mentioned.

I would love to start a thread (people who are cons but don't post here would probably like to know about this), but the libs would be all over it with their hatefulness, so I shall not do so unless you guys back me up. I sent him my pic a couple days ago. I'd give to be in NYC for the show on the 13th of March!!!!!!!

I don't know if it would be worth all the stress you would get from the rabid lefties, but if you do start it I'm sure a bunch around here would back you.

Yeah. believe me I gave the ole Alma Mater my full endorsement. He got a pretty good deal with a music scholarship.......but it isn't a full ride (still expensive). I like that he is staying in town though (selfish of me). He lived with us well over half his life.........and I'm just not ready to let go yet......

He really didn't want to shave his head in "The Corps" is my personal opinion why A&M didn't work.

There's always grad school I suppose (worked for me)!

What's he play?

Rice is in Houston correct?

He doesn't have to be in the Corps. It still isn't too late. He would only be an 1 and 1/2 from home.

Which is why I hesitated, and asked if one had already been done. Maybe putting the info out there would reach more people who would act than would post in defense of the project. I sure hate the drama though.

Congratulations to your Nephew! Rice is a great school, and as you said he'll be staying in town.
My Son wants to go to UT. I don't know if I can let him loose in Libsville. He's still yound now so maybe he'll change his mind.

Coronet, trumpet, Euphonium. flugelhorn, trombone, tuba.......I could go on (but that would be boasting and prideful hehe).

He has Drum and Bugle corp all summer.......we are going to meet up with him at various places on the tour.......lots of fun.

He is a Madison Scout......just like his proud Uncle (I played a mean "bellfront" trombone back in the day) & his Grandfather.

Hello. I know your area well. Lots of friends/coworkers live out there. Great HS football teams. I actually live in Benders Landing nowadays (by the Woodlands), but I consider everything out here to be Spring. I went to Spring High School.

My co-worker read it, told me about it and then sent me the link. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother who graduated from UT.......the sisters drink the Kool-aid......yet, they have been strangely silent these last 3 weeks (still love them.......but it's a strange sort of love the person ignore what they say kind of thing).

my brother? He tells me everything Rush says (in a conspiritorial tone.....just in case someone is listening) . He still lives and works in Austin for a high tech company (think Office Space and he is likely Lumberg's boss). Ummmmmmm.......ok.........I think I am going to need you........to ummmmmmmmm..........

Small World! I graduated from Spring High myself (quite a few years ago Back when the blimp base was still across the freeway)! It doesn't look like the same school anymore it's grown so much.
I like the Woodlands area, but don't like the I-45 traffic much
