I'm so tired......I just want to watch TV and eat a box of cookies with a big glass of Milk and have my whole family just leave me alone....AHHHHHHHH that sounds sooo nice. OH and light a fire in the fireplace also :thumbsup2
I really wanted to watch Y&R last Sat night (DH goes to college basketball on most Sat nights); you might know, it was an afternoon game and I got to entertain (read that: feed) him, instead.

Robin, that sounds great, if you can make it happen!

I wondered why we haven't been lighting our fireplace. Apparently there's a burn ban on. Um..in WA? Nothing could catch on fire here because it has to drip-dry first!

Speaking of golf... I got to play last night! :cool1:

wii golf counts.. right? right?

We have a wii, but after the excitement wore off that we had actually gotten one, it has been dormant. I bought the wii fit, too, but haven't gotten it out of the box. I think any attempt at swatting would be helpful.

Add chips and dip to that and I'd be in heaven.

how'd ya do. did the ball agree to hit the stick?

It's soooo unfair that each time you hit the ball out of bounds you earn an extra stroke - or par - or whatever. I'm not current on golf lingo.

So what if I didn't want to hit the ball in the direction the wii advised me to do? So what if I wanted to hit it past allll of those trees to a little clear patch (that was marked as part of the course) instead?

It may have taken about 10 hits to get there (because I kept hitting out of bounds); but once there I was much closer to the hole than I would have been had I hit in the direction the wii wanted me to.

Then, of course, but the time I get to the green to putt, it tells me to give up and won’t let me hit the ball any longer; I was too far over par.

stupid wii golf.

you guys can still use your fireplace when you want to?

wow. we have to check to see if it's allowed first. :sad1:

Really :confused3 where in Ca. do you live? Are you in a fire area? Have not heard anything on the news about banning burning out of your fireplace...Bummer! And who do you have to check with?

Well the kids are destroying there brains on the XBOX and other computer tonight so unless I decide I want them to get off and stop them form there war games of killing and maiming I can be free of them....I can get DH to watch TV in my older sons room...older son is in my bedroom next to me right now playing XBOX on my 46" instead of his 32" in his bedroom...so the TV in his room free for DH to watch....So than I can watch a movie downstairs on our 58" plasma with all the fixins, than all my dreams will come true ....

and by the way ...I am know craving Chips and onion dip..thanks MM for that :lmao:

As I said earlier, Dolce, all the golf guys are going to love you! That 103 they made will sound terrific next to your 206, or whatever. :rotfl2: I do hope you get to drive the golf carts, though. That is about the apex of golfing in my limited experience.

Now I know why we don't have a wii!! I'm afraid it will tell on me!

Dolce, if it makes you feel any better, real golf (in my opinion) is much easier for me than Wii golf.

Oh, I had fun with wii golf and wasn't finding it too hard. It's just that I wanted to hit the ball where I wanted to and the game wasn't making it very easy for me. I’m stubborn like that. :teeth:

Hi everyone. I am having the evening you all are talking about. I am all alone in my house tonight. IT IS GREAT!!!!!!! I have a fuzzy navel, a bag of peanut clusters (my dinner) the TV all to myself and of course my Dis friends. Life is good!!!! Very good!!!!

my house is in the central valley. it is true that the air quality here can be pretty bad, but i don't think it's really from fireplaces. more likely from the nasty controlled burns they do in the orchards. in san diego you get lots of clear air...makes sense that you can burn.

i just listen to the news in the morning to find out if it's a burn day, but there are a number of web sites where we can check. i go to the local news station online too if i've missed the morning news.

we don't live in a dangerous fire area, but i'll tell ya what, it is amazing where fires crop up. i find fire so frightening 'cause it is so difficult to control.

Good for you. I don't think I've been alone in my house in the evening in years, if not ever. Always some child here to keep me company. I'm okay with that, but I wouldn't mind just one night alone.

Knowing me I'd probably sleep with all of the lights on though. I get up at least once a night to check on the kids to see if they are okay. I had to pick my youngest off the floor just the other day - he rolled right off of the bed and onto the floor. Didn't wake him up at all. (He is on the lower bunk to the bunkbed, so it's low to the floor anyway. I'm just surprised that it didn't wake him up at all).

Have a nice night alone. Spoil yourself!

we can't 'cause of the air quality...same for you?

I have no idea why.

Anyone in the mood for old superheroes?
