President Obama, you really need to stop taking hits off of the "mandate bong". As I've said before, "mandate" is a dangerous political drug that's jumped up and bit plenty of top political leaders when they've abused it (Clinton, Newt, 43, etc.)

I'm so happy that he's putting his permanant Obama stamp on this fiasco. The intelligent POTUS would allow Pelosi and others to front this so when it fails he can point the finger at them.

I'm going to try to do a dining report, so I'll be sure to take a picture. My parents get a little embarrassed by the picture taking of food, so it might be incomplete, but I'll be sure to grab a picture of the French Toast Loaf. If I say it's for a fellow conservative, my Dad will jump on board

Don't get me wrong, my Mom is conservative too, but my Dad is pretty extreme right wing. Haha, story time... they donate to the RNC every year and every couple months the RNC will call and ask for a donation. Well, my Mom has a home office and they always call at like 2pm, so she'll answer the phone. And they make the donation in my Dad's name (my Mom wouldn't donate if it weren't for him I think) and she goes, "of course he's not here, he's at work, how do you think we have money to donate to you idiots?!" Then she sternly tells them never to call and ask for money again or they'll never donate "one penny more." ...and they'll call. And they still donate.

His arrogance is why he's not letting Pelosi front this. It's also hurting his ego that the Republicans are pretty united against him on this and he knows that in six months ,when we're still spiraling downward, no sign of things looking up, and the "stimulus" package proves to be a joke that did nothing except put us in further debt; it'll be harder for him to blame the Republicans when they've been so vocal against it.

I've discovered something: if this stimulus bill comes to pass, I actually benefit. I'm still against it, but at least now I won't be completely distraught if it passes. That first time homebuyer credit would become a gift. That's $7500 to me!

I was talking to my boyfriend last night about it and he goes, "yeah Obama is trying to help the poor, but you know, as collateral damage sometimes he helps middle class too."
