Thank-you Mr. Man. My head knows NOT to panic but my heart is - well I think- broken.

I am so very sad for my country. For my children, all of our children, who will deal with the ramifications. The high taxes, the inflation, the high interest rates. And IMO if that is all that becomes of this we are really lucky!!!!

The sun will come up tomorrow and my hope does not lie with government but with God. ( I hope you all will excuse me if I got too emotional here - it helps to type it out I think)

No prob. I think a lot of us are resigned to having to do more with less.......especially given the crazy stuff our tax money is going to fund.....

But, a tipping point will be reached. and that right quick I think.

I agree 100% with this but would like to add one thing. It seems like some libs feel since they won the Presidency and control of both houses that gives them the right to do whatever they want without question. They act like we should just roll over and take it.

Well that is one thing I will never do. I am opposed to the policies of BHO and will speak out against them. I will be a thorn in their side each step of the way questioning each and every policy. I will also be there to say I told you so at the end when WE have to clean up the mess.

He calls them "The Big Eight". The logical conundrums that shake people's faith.

They are:

-If there's a loving God, why does this pain-wracked world groan under so much suffering and evil?
-If the miracles of God contradict science, then how can any rational person believe that they're true?
-If God really created the universe, why does the persuasive evidence of science compel so many to conclude that the unguided process of evolution accounts for life?
-If God is morally pure, how cn he sanction the slaughter of innocent children as the Old Testament says he did?
-If Jesus is the only way to heaven, then what about the millions of people who have never heard of him?
-If God cares about the people he created, how could he consign so many of them to an eternity of torture in hell just because they didn't believe the right things about him?
-If God is the ultimate overseer of the church, why has it been rife with hypocrisy and brutalitly throughout the ages?
-If I'm still plagued by doubts, then is it still possible to be a Christian?

It's a pretty good book and has a condensed version.

Just some thoughts......it's a tough one, because Faith plays a huge part in the belief in God, and the above are the stumbling block of faith.

Me too! I was working om my ignore list. I had it completely cleaned out but as upset as I feel tonight I thought it was a good idea to not read the thoughts from the other side.

How is your paper going?

Looks like the storms form Oklahoma are on the way here. It has been a beautiful day here but they are calling for some sever storms in the middle of the night and temps will drip back to the 40's with lots of wind and rain. StL weather - give it an hour it will change.

None of us did thank goodness. It was a nasty little thing with 12hrs of puking and about 5-6 days of diarhea.
