Well what do you guys think would be the wise thing for us to do now to protect our families as much as possible? Right now I have the biggest desire to pull out what we have and tuck it in my mattress. I know that is panic talking and I won't do it (at least not today) but I wonder what would be a wise step?

Honestly.... this is really scaring me. Is anyone watching Glenn?? He's discussing how, thanks to this stimulus, we are possibly headed for a depression worse than the one FDR was president during. I'd love to see BO dig us out of a depression. He wouldn't have a clue as to what to do.

No, we won't pull it. We've always had an emergency cash stash, and are seriously considering making it a whole lot bigger though.

Being in the mortgage industry and knowing how closely related the housing industry is with the rest of the economy......I predicted in March 2007 that we would wind up in a depression.

I based this on the gov't intervening instead of letting the housing market correct itself. Ohio led the charge, and when I saw how radically and quickly the banks were affected.......I knew we were in trouble.

I'm sad that I was right. :sad2:

Yeah.:sad2: It's sad.

I need to think about something happy....

Specter, Snowe and Collins were the ones who voted for the "stimulus." Specter's up for re-election in 2010; not sure when the other two are up for re-election.

My opinion? The Republican party has a wide variety of views amongst its members on things like the environment, abortion, etc. I recognize we can't get a 100% conservative Senator elected in liberal or liberal leaning states. So, we conservatives put up with them. But, my thought is, if you aren't a fiscal conservative, get the heck out. You're not a Republican. In my mind, you have to be a fiscal con to call yourself a Republican. That is the backbone of the whole Republican philosophy.

So my thought is, come primary season, we need to find fiscal cons to run against those three and throw money at them. It's past time to kick those three out.

Should've known. Oh well... I don't have a car here so no buying gas for me!:goodvibes

I'll let you know how we like it.:thumbsup2 And have any of you guys ever done Cinderella's Royal Table? We're all excited to get to eat there, even though I've heard it's pretty mediocre. We got a good deal (it pays to have CP people book other CP people a table) too.;)
I ate at CRT for dinner last year. I loved it! The setting was the best part for me, but the food was generally great. I wasn't that crazy about my pasta dish entree, though. My parents both had the prime rib. HUGE cut of meat, and they really enjoyed it. My mom and I had the BLT salad for appetizers (yummy), and my dad had the corn and crab soup, which he liked. We all had the chocolate cream cheese buckle for dessert; delicious! The pretzel bread they serve is good too, just like Le Cellier's, IMO.

Are you going for lunch or dinner?

Then someone go pour water on her!! Quick!!!!:rotfl:

I like what O'Reilly said about Helen Thomas last night. He said "if someone would throw water on her, she would melt"!

:lmao:

Also a couple of years ago, Glenn's Fusion magazine did a special Halloween scary issue with a photoshoped centerfold of Helen Thomas in a bikini.

:scared1:  :scared: :crazy2: :faint:

oh! hmmm...i'm a bit late i guess. oh well...great minds and all that rot.

I can tell you that this bill has just made me spend less. I won't be buying anything besides necessities from now on.

Did you guys see that some guy was arrested outside of the white house with a gun?

I 100% agree. This may not be a popular thought with everyone on this thread, but the fiscal aspect is at the top of my priority list. The social issues take a big back seat for me. People who want their individual freedoms respected, well that applies across the board then.

Works for me! :thumbsup2
