Conservative Thread: U.S. Steele - Back In Business

My Obama lovin' cousin just sent me an email. She said that she's not quite ready to tell me that I was right and she was wrong, but she definitely is disappointed with how Obama is manipulating people and it's not the sort of change she had hoped for. She is young and idealistic, and there are things in life we just have to learn through experience. She is a good kid and I sort of feel bad that she is finding out how cheap words are, but it's best not to be so easily disillusioned.

I'm glad she's starting to understand. How old is she, if you don't mind me asking? I know I'm young, but I feel I have always been mature enough to not let myself get sideswept by what the MSM or anyone else says is good or bad. The MSM slobbered all over BO, but I knew in my heart I couldn't trust him, so I didn't let myself be swayed.

She's almost 30, but now that I'm 40, I get to call people that age "kids".:rotfl:

My DD, 23, is learning this same lesson. I told her to research how inflation is going to change her life.

My 49 yo mother still doesn't seem to get that BO is going to ruin the country.... we can't even discuss it anymore because everytime I point out some more mindless crap he's pulling, I get swiftly cut off and the subject is changed.:headache:

What a coincidence, as my Obama lovin' son just called me a little while ago sharing almost the same sentiment, except he was a tad more vocal in his disappointment and disillusionment.

:thumbsup2

Is there a website that lists who voted for and against The Stimulus Package?
I know that Montana's two senators voted for it without looking it up but I am curious about it.

Thanks for your help.

I think Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania supported it. Ugh. Not checking his name EVER again.

I want to know that too. I doubt any of Mississippi's senators voted for it (we might be called dumb but we're very smart when it comes to politics- we ARE a red state, after all:goodvibes ), but I'd like to know for sure.

Montana is a "red" state when it came to the Presidential election, but for our Senators it has turned "blue". We use to have one of each, but that was changed in "04". Hopefully we can change it back in 2010! We have a Republican Representative. So I know he voted against the Stimulus Package in the House.

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Insanity. Ageless.

I also noticed here that gas has gone up 20 cents a gallon since Fearless Leader spoke to the masses last night.
Hmmmm..... I bet here in FL it's jumped too. It was pretty decently priced when I was at Wal-Mart last week (around $1.70) but it's probably close to $2 again.:sad2:

Thanks!:goodvibes I have two more days off. Oooo, I just got me and three of my roomies a reservation at Tutto Italia for Thursday night before IllumiNations. We've all been wanting to eat there. Plus..... all eight of us are eating at Cinderella's Royal Table in March. One of my roomies came home last night and surprised us all by telling us she'd booked a table for us.:woohoo:

It's been a couple years since I've been, but I loved their vodka pasta!

You're right-it was $1.94 at the station by us this morning.

We haven't been at the Italian place since it changed hands-I'm eager to hear your review. We weren't that thrilled with it before, to be honest.

Should've known. Oh well... I don't have a car here so no buying gas for me!:goodvibes

I'll let you know how we like it.:thumbsup2 And have any of you guys ever done Cinderella's Royal Table? We're all excited to get to eat there, even though I've heard it's pretty mediocre. We got a good deal (it pays to have CP people book other CP people a table) too.;)
