Is this possible, or am I going to have a hard time pulling this one off? We will be staying at PC in May for 6 nights. We will need two adjoining rooms, but we're only going to need the 2nd room for 5 nights. Due to the age of the family members that are involved, they are going to have to be adjoining. Will this be possible, or are we going to have to purchase the 2nd room for all 6 nights to ensure that we've got adjoining rooms?

Because Disney found that connecting rooms at a Value resort were a popular alternative to one room at a Deluxe, they designed Pop Century to have 50% of the rooms connecting.

It should not be a problem, but will require special planning. Make sure that it's notated on your reservation, especially the ages of the children. Also, make sure to mention it when you check in. My guess is that the rooms will be pre-blocked.

So, it's not going to mess things up that I only want the second room for 5 of the 6 nights that we will be staying there? I felt certain we could get it if we needed it for our entire stay, but I didn't know if dropping a day (and I'm not sure if it's going to be at the beginning or the end of the stay) would mess up things with the room assignor.

we did this exact same thing at the All Stars this past May with no problem....my step mom and bro/sis checked in a day after us and left a day before us and we had connecting rooms....we requested them about 2 weeks in advance (faxed) as well as when I made the ressies.

Just a note, there is a difference between adjoining and connecting. Adjoining simply means next to each other, while connecting has the door. Make sure and ask for connecting. :D
