Connecting flights only an hour apart.

We are flying from Edmonton to Denver, then from Denver to Orlando. The time between flights is only an hour. Is this enough time? What about our baggage? What about customs? Any thoughts you have would be much appreciated.

I had the same worries.We are flying Edmonton to Chicago and then on to Orlandur agent told us that no need to worry about our luggage it will meet us in Orlando.And from a friend of mine with a degree in travel and a big traveler.We will do customs here before we leave and when we return it will also be here.Apprentley the US "leases" space at the International Airport and the minute we step into their space we are "in the States"

Also,are you staying at a Disney hotel?If yes did you sign up for their magical Express?They will come get you for free at the Airport and no need to worry about the luggage it will follow you a little later to the hotel.

If not do you need to check in again in Denver?

Familiarize yourself with the Denver airport. Find out which gate you arrive and the gate you will depart form.

We are flying United airlines from Edmonton and from Denver so this probably makes things go smoother.

We are staying at POP Century and are planning to use Magical Express. This system just seemed to take all the worry out of finding out where to go.

So I gather from all that you are saying I should have nothing to worry about. This comes as a great relief for I havn't flown in over 20 years, so this Family trip will be quite the adventure for us. Thanks for the feedback!

When are you flying with United?

They recently changed their policy regarding checked bags.

You are only allowed 1 free checked bag at 50 lbs. A second bag will now cost you $25.00.

As far as I understood by reading the united website, this charge is only for national (ie in the US flights)...Flights into and out of the US are not under this policy... (whew.. saves us about $100 each way)

Customers traveling to/from the United States and all international destinations are required to have their baggage checked 45 minutes prior to flight departure time.

* Maximum linear dimensions of all bags: 62 inches/158cm (length + width + height) each
* The number of checked bags permitted varies with your Mileage Plus status and/or class of service
