I, for one, am not giving up on the hope of Toy Story 4. I cried at the end of Toy Story 3 as much because I am afraid it may be the end of this franchise as I did from the storyline.
Toy Story 3 was the Best Picture of the Year if you ask me! They are making a TS Short to be shown before Cars this summer and another short to be shown with a later to be released Muppet Movie. Will go to see both of those just for the TS Gang!
Really? I saw How to Train your Dragon and Toy Story 3 about the same time, and I thought Toy Story 3 was the best animated movie I have ever seen. The only other animation that ever made me cry was Lion King. I have watched TS3 4 times, and it has made me cry each time.
i know what you mean i havn`t been on it yet, the last time we were there our 2 oldest waited 2 hours to get on it and we just run out of time to que our selves. so hopefuly next time we will get a shot.

I was hoping Andy would keep his toys and save them for his own children at the end of the movie (Toy Story 4 and beyond!) but the scene where he gives them to the little girl had me crying, too. I think the fact that our boys are getting older put the end of the movie in a different light (our oldest DS is starting HS in September - how did that happen?! ).
Wasn't there a rule about animated films not being able to be nominated for Best Picture? Or maybe insiders just wanted it to be that way? I thought they had changed it after Beauty and the Beast was nominated in the early 90's (love that movie, too).
Cherish the moments .They grow up so fast. I did the same thing as your wife! We saw the first TS for my oldest son's 5th birthday. So for his 20th birthday we picked him up from college to see TS3. (Now remember this was his 3rd year being away.) Here I was, balling my eyes out right from the get go. My whole family looked at me like I was nuts! All three movies will always have a special place in my heart! I am glad it won.
The little girl, now in possession of Andy's toys, will herself grow up and go off to college. Andy, probably 13 years later, is now pushing 30 and takes his toys back to save and eventually play with his own children. They remain in the family for future generations to be loved and played with forever.
I was thrilled with all the Disney wins at the Oscars!

LOVE THIS!! I completely agree TS3 is one of the best movies ever! I cried several times over the first time I seen it and in even more places the second.

And then His kids grow up and give it to her kids and then her kids grow up and give it to Andy's grandkids and cycle back and forth... Sequels forever!
Well, it couldn't be anyworse than the direct to video drivel that we saw for a while... Hey lets make a sequel thats the same as the original with some element reversed....
