Thank you for the lovely pictures. I used to work for the San Francisco Giants as a fan photographer. My last year with them was in 2008 when they started the season in absolute last place in the league, and we had lost 15% of our season ticket holders because some people had bought tickets in 2007 only because that was the only way that they could reserve seats to the All Stars games. After the All Stars games were over and Barry Bonds had gotten the record, attendance went waaay down.
I still miss that job, but now I work for the Disney Family Museum here in San Francisco so I got to talk to some of the people visiting from Texas during the World Series while they were in the museum.
I saw some mean-spirited Giants fans while I worked for the Giants, but those who had trouble remembering that it is only a game were often taken off by the police. Sometimes other Giants fans would applaud the arrest of Giants fans who had been harassing fans of the opposing team. That is the way that it should be. I am sure the trouble-makers felt really silly when they woke up in jail the next morning, but they had it coming.
As a told one of my guests from Texas at the Disney Museum, while he was here in San Francisco for the World Series, if anybody here in the City gave his family any trouble while they were spending their money in our local economy, they were expressing only their own opinion and that it was a stupid one.
